Silver Knight

Chapter 7

                                          A Town in Ashes and the Mysterious Amulet

        "Keep on my path...? What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" I yell to myself as i keep searching through the ashes of Hatzun. "Maybe I can find a new weapon or a book or something..." I say as i keep searching. "Oh heres something!" I think to myself as i grab a piece of paper that was only half burnt. "Its a map!" I think and grab it. My eyes instantly fell on the merket district of this town. "A library and a weapons shop." I think to myself. "Feels like just what im looking for." I grab the piece of paper and walk towards where the weapons shop used to stand. Now there is only ash and a few ingots everywhere. "Nothing useful I..." I stop talking as i hear foot steps coming towards me from the entrance of the town. "Bandits!" I think to myself as i turn around and crouch behind a partly intact part of the stone wall. A glitter of light caught my eye as i looked towards it seeing the glitter vanish as the clouds covered the sun. I move towards what was giving off the glitter and found a dark circular shield with a deep red outline. Underneath the shield there was a very clear white sword with a yellow hilt and a dark blue gem embedded in the pommel of it.

         I draw my blade and turn around towards the direction of the foot steps. "Who's there?" I shout. "Just adventurers." They stop in fear as they heard my words. "Please dont harm us." They said looking towards my drawn sword. "Why have you come here?" I ask as I turn around and grab the shield  and sword from the ground. "Now! While he's off guard!" They shout and rush towards me. I turn around and duck as their blades come to cut at my neck. "You little!" I shout and stab one of them in the back drawing my blade as soon as it entered.

          "We are the Off-Strikes!" The man that stayed where he was said. "We are murderers, thieves, and assassins." I turn around to the second man who had come to rush me as he knocks me down and puts his foot over my arm and presses it. "Ahh!.." I shout as my eyes turn a silky pink and my left arm grabs the shield to my left as the man is going to stab me with his blade my arm moves back to protect against the blade. "Whats going on...? My body is moving as if in auto-pilot." I think to myself as i keep predicting my opponent's moves. I move my left arm up pushing his blade higher then i move it fast to the right and hit the man's left leg then moving it to the left and hitting the man's right leg pushing him off balance. I turn to my left grab the white blade and jab it into my opponent's stomach.

          I get up pushing the lifeless corpse off me and place both the shield and the sword where i had found them then i turn and grab my own sword. I turn to their leader. "What...? Only 2 guards in your little group?" I smile and dash turning my blade towards him and stabbing him in the chest. "You are... No longer with us." I smile and regain control of my body. "Well that was wierd..." I think to myself as i enter the library. "Maybe I can find some books for Alice...?" I think as i look around and notice there are quiet a few magic books still intact and barely damaged by the fires. I grab 3 random books and walk back outside grabbing the sword and the shield. I start walking back towards the rest of the group. 

          A sound as if money moving around came from my pocket. I put my hand into my pocket and notice the amulet Silver had given me. "No use keeping it in my pocket is there?" I said as i slid it on. A flash of light came from the amulet as i was blinded and stepped back unable to see anything. As I regained my vision I noticed I had been teleported somewhere else. Nothing moved, no sound. I tried to remove the amulet but it had some kind of a grip on my neck and it didnt let me take it off. "..." I tried to speak but no words came out. I couldnt breathe anymore. In front of me I saw two images of myself in a cracked mirror. One was wearing pure dark amor with a blue sword which seemed to release a darkened aura. On the other half I was wearing a black armor with white outlines on it, the sword I was carrying was a Black blade which dragged along the floor from the weight of it.

          "Both of these are images of your future." I heard a voice say and i froze. "How you play your actions is how the images differentiate." He says continuing. "One is a blood thirsty tyrant ruler. You will become the one enemy of all the factions of this land along with your own. Sky Silver. The other is the rightful leader of Sky Silver. Fighting against the evil forces of your father's late wife." He says then another flash came from the amulet. Blinded again i stagger backwards and trip on something landing flat on my back. "Choose what you do wisely..." The voice died away as my vision returned seeing myself back in the middle of town. The amulet around my neck stayed there the engraved gem shattered.

          I get up and notice that I had tripped over the bandit captain which i had just killed. I grab his body and pull him to the graveyard where i dig 3 holes for the bandits. I place them in the holes on the ground and i put dirt on them. After i burried them all my stomach growled and i decided to go back to the camp and ask for food. I grab everything and take it back to the camp.
