Olivia lay in her bed in silence only having the crisp air to comfort her. It had been 3 weeks since Mike's death and she couldn't shake the overwhelming feeling of guilt that it was all her fault.

What would have happened had I stayed with him? He would still be here. I knew it was a bad idea to take him with me, I felt in my bones. Olivia thought to herself as tears rolled down her face.
"William hates me." She spoke in a soft voice "If I were him I'd hate me too "
Olivia's self procuring thoughts were cut short. Her phone buzzed and read a text message stating 'Hudson University, rape murder'
She stood up got dressed and plastered a silicone look on her face before leaving.

Olivia stepped out of her car and was greeted by Fin. "What happened?" She asked Warner before bending down to look at the girls charred body.
"Raped, scalped, burned and set on fire. Death was a blessing for this girl" Warner said before zipping the girls body bag closed.
The next day Olivia walked into the squad room, and was greeted by William Dodds " Morning Lieutenant "  William said handing Olivia a newspaper with the headline 'Barbecue Girl'.
Olivia avoided making eye contact with Dodds, but took the newspaper and went into her office followed by Dodds.
Olivia sat down at her desk, looked up and saw Dodds standing before her eyes. "Is there something else?" She said typing away at her computer
"No I was just wondering... What did I to piss you off?" He said sitting down  across from her. "What the hell are you talking about " She asked with genuine confusion.
"You've been avoiding talking to me and..." He said trailing off. "Maybe you're not the only one who feels like it's their fault Mike died" She snapped.  "Do you really think it's your fault Mike died?"He said genuinely "their is only one person who is responsible for his death is Munson"

"Olivia you and I are one in the same" he said cupping her face in his hand "we are both hearts of broken glass, sadly we can't just go to the store and buy some glue, it takes time." "You're one hell of a poet, but I don't think a quote you got from a book you read back in '88 will make me feel any better"  Olivia said before standing up and walking out of the door "Really? That's all you got" He said grabbing the attention of their fellow patrons in the squad room "Okay, how about this,  my mother died from a drunken fall down the stairs, my father was a serial rapist and that's the only reason I am even alive. My brother is in jail because he kidnapped his own children. I have been stabbed in the neck, kidnapped thrice times and I have been sexually and physically assaulted . On top of that I let my bosses son die because I made a mistake." She said after she pulled him into the break room "Olivia please..."He was cut "Don't you dare say that it isn't my fault... Because it is" She said as tears rolled down her eyes and her voice cracked "Don't cry you're too beautiful to cry"He said pulling her in to a warm and tight embrace
