Chapter Five

Yui was down in the gardens tending to the roses that grew, she was cutting a few roses for possibly the mansion to give some kind of life to it. She brings the rose to her nose taking in its smell; the memory of what Laito had said has been playing in her head but also what had (Name) had said
"You two were offered to us as a sacrifice, by the very church you have such faith in."
"You say God is great, you say God will save us, but he won't. And I'll tell you why, it's because he isn't real! I'm sick and tired of you always talking about "God" and your so called father! Get it through you head that no one will help us, no one in a thousand years! So just stop believing in something that is not real!"
Yui stared at the rose for a second and muttered to herself
"That can't possibly be true" she said recalling the memory
"Yui... I would like you to pick up those roses and follow me" as she looked up she saw it was Kanato
"I don't like to be kept waiting" he gave her a slight warning as he held his beloved teddy.

(Name) had made her way around towards the gardens where she saw Subaru who had decided to start kick at a rosebush. She frowned a little and made her way over to him, he seemed to have not noticed her approaching
"Hey the Roses haven't done anything to you" she muttered startling Subaru in the process
"! How did you get there?" he glared at her
"Walking?"
"Don't be a smart ass! Did you cut up the roses I was growing here" he snapped making her flinch a little
"I didn't touch anything! For the record in my defense I was with Reiji" she replied now glaring back at the albino
"Well who mess with my roses!" he yelled clenching his hands into fists
"I don't know but you need to calm down! Take a breather alright, and when you are calmer I will talk to you and help you find the culprit" (Name) crossed her arms as she held a cold glare at him.
(Name) and Subaru began to walk around in silence; Subaru was still a little pissed off about his flowers being tampered with. While (Name) on the other hand was still a little ticked off by Yui and Reiji's punishment which was not as bad as she thought it would have been which was just cleaning the mansion top to bottom for a good solid week. The two began to walk aimlessly around the mansion and slowly ended up to the old graveyard.
(Name) felt a small chill go down her spine as the two continued to walk in silence softly in the distance (Name) heard the faintest voice belonging to none other than Yui Komori
"What are we doing here?" Yui asked Kanato who was walking further ahead with teddy in his arms
"Graves are so deeply dark and full of the smell of death. I think they're great, don't you?" Kanato asked Yui as he stood in front of one particular grave that was much larger than the rest
"I love graves. They're so cold and quiet, and indifferent to terror" Kanato than added not giving Yui a chance to respond.
Kanato then adds;
"My mother lies here."
(Name) and Subaru were close enough to hear the conversation, (Name) gives the albino a questioning look
"But aren't all the mothers vampires?" she muttered.
Subaru was shocked he had no knowledge that (Name) had any knowing of their mothers
"Your mother passed away?" Yui questioned Kanato to what seemed like pity in her voice
"I killed her. Would you believe that?" Kanato looked at Yui with that crazed smile
"Although it hardly matters right, Teddy?" Kanato said smiling to Teddy who was still in his arms
"And there's your roses Subaru" (Name) muttered to him to which he responded with a small Tsk of annoyance
"Please place those roses here" Kanato asked nicely of Yui
"Um, sure" Yui was frightened to hear Kanato had in fact killed his own mother
"Well, I'll be going now" Yui said once she had placed them down she goes to walk off to escape the fearful atmosphere.
Kanato was angered by this simple action, (Name) knew in some point she'll had to intervene at some point knowing that Yui isn't strong enough to fight for herself
"You are very self-serving... I especially invited you here, but you leave the second it displeases you. You have a lot of nerve!" Kanato's voice raised a little hugging Teddy tighter. (Name) grew wary of her surroundings and was ready to stop anything. Subaru seemed to be absent minded as she did care too much of Yui's well being.
