I woke up to a cool Saturday breeze coming in through my window and the sight of Mark sleeping in his bed. He was so cute. I was so beautiful here. Ireland was usually rainy, but it was always sunny here. I stretched and picked up my phone, which had a few new texts. "Hey babe ;)" An unknown number texted me. "Who is this?" I texted back. "I'm one of Mark's friends. I'm Alex :)" Who is this person? I thought. "Oh hi." I texted back. "I know we did't really get to talk, but I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out today? I think you're really cool and super cute and I want to get to know you better. ;)" This guy seamed harmless to me but I still wasn't sure. I thought about asking Mark about him but I didn't want to bother him so early in the morning. "Sure I guess. What do you want to do?" I walked into the kitchen and made myself breakfast. My parents were still asleep so I thought to make breakfast for everyone. I get another text from Alex that said, "Idk, coffee?" I blushed a little bit. I didn't know who his guy was but he was being very sweet. "Sure sounds fun :)" I texted back. We made plans to hang out around two thirty, so I had plenty of time to get ready. my family woke up a little after I finished making breakfast for everyone and I got another text from Alex. "Whatchya doin? :)" I giggled and replied. "Just finished making breakfast for the family :)" "Aww you're so sweet <3" I giggled and blushed a little bit again. "Ooooh who's that!" My sister giggled. Her long brown hair was messy from sleeping and she was still in her little barbie girl pj's. "N-no one." I blushed as I stuffed my phone into my pocket. I walked into the dinning room and sat down next to my mom. She was doing work and completely oblivious to her family. "I made you breakfast mom." I smiled as I put a plate in front of her. She blinked a few times and then realized that her family was all at the table. "Aw thank you sweetie!" She smiled as she pulled me down and kissed me on the cheek. I looked out the window and saw Mark giggling at me from his dinning room. I felt so embarrassed. "Mooom!" I whined. She giggled and rolled her eyes and giggled as I wiped my face and sat down.
"So anything new kids?" My dad asked with food in his mouth. "Sean was texting someone and sending hearts to them!" My sister called out. "Lily!" I exclaimed with a red face. My mom looked up from her work with a raised eyebrow. "Ohh is she pretty?" I blushed rapidly. My mom leved the idea of me being in a high school relationship weither it was a girl or a boy. But my dad didn't support me liking guys. He knew that I did but he didn't egnolage it. "He is just a friend." I scowled at my sister as she giggled. "He?" My dad asked. "You're sending hearts to a boy?" He asked again. "I didn't send any hearts! He sent me a heart, not the other way around!" My dad looked relieved. "Oh okay, I see. Just tell him you're not interested in boys." My dad laughed as he stared at his food. "But dad I-" He cut me off with a glare. I quickly shut my mouth and looked at my plate. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mark sitting at his dinner table with his family. Him, his mom, and his brother. I had never seen his dad before but I've chosen not to ask in case of it being too personal. It was so strange. His brother had his hair in a messy man bun, his mom was wearing her pj's, and Mark wasn't even wearing a shirt. They looked so happy and weird. My mom was wearing her suit and had her hair all done up, my dad was dressed for the day and my sister and I weren't even aloud to be out of our rooms unless we're dressed. The only exception today was that it was the weekend. I love my family. My mom and dad are wonderful people, they just have a different set of rules then most families and I was okay with that. I was actually happy to have control. But Mark's family looks to different and looks so out of control, but they looks so happy.
While we were silent at our table, they were laughing and throwing food and being...happy. It was weird. I got another text from Alex and I checked it under the table. "Can we hang out a little earlier then 2? My dad needs me to drive him places around that time but I still want to hang out with you." I replied. "Ya what time were you thinking?" Without looking up, I could see my dad glaring at me. He knew that I was texting Alex and he didn't like that. "How about 12?" It was about 10:45. "Hey mom? Can I hang out with a friend from school around noun?" I aske with my best set of puppy dog eyes. She turned her head slowly and smirked. "Is it the hearts boy?" She winked while she nudged me with her elbow. I blushed hard. "I-it doesn't matter if it is! Can I?" put on her best mom face. "When will you be back?" She wasn't very good at being serious, she was always so goofy. "I don't know, but we're going to the coffee shop." She smiled and rolled her eyes. "Okie dokie! Just be safe and don't do drugs." She giggled. I rapped my arms around her. "Thank you Mooom!" I exclaimed. I glanced up again to find Mark looking at me with his feet up on his table, cocking an eyebrow. I blushed harder and quickly released my mom. "I'm going to go get ready, luv ya mum!" She smiled "I love you too green bean!" she exclaimed while I ran up the stairs. I opened up my closet and pulled out my favorite green hoodie. I pulled off my shirt and went to put it on, but had a feeling that I was being watched. I looked over to find Mark standing at his door staring at me with a red face. I quickly dove behind my bed with a bright red face. His window was open too and I could hear him laughing. I was so embarrassed. I pulled the sweater over my head and stood up. I glanced out the window to find Mark with his hand on his hip and and eyebrow raised. Oh my god he was so hot.
