bills mistakes

chapter 2

(Dippers P.O.V)

The walk slowly started becoming tedious as I had to force myself to continue. Mable was excited and was bouncing with each step, but I was left with a feeling of dread like something was just around the corner from changing this day from good too bad in a matter of seconds. We reached the clearing where Bills statue was Mable wanted to draw on it like we always did on are birthday.

"Hm...its bill...where'd he go?" I glanced around after Mable brought this to my attention...

"Huh... Ok um that can't be good." I grabbed Mable's hand and shifted her so she was behind me. I took out my flashlight and in seconds it became clear he wasn't here anymore. "Mable go back to the shack, ok?"

Mable's eyes widened as she became riled up." No way! Are you crazy?!"

I turned out my flashlight and handed it to Mable "YES! I AM, NOW GO BACK!" her face fell to a sad heartbroken expression, I couldn't blame her for being sad, today was supposed to be a happy day. But just as I told her she ran back toward the direction of the shack.

With no light I saw the soft glow of gold deep in the woods. I reached into my bag as quite as I could and pulled out the memory gun. My legs seemed to move by themselves as I walked toward the glow. I expected to see the floating triangle but instead I saw someone sitting by the river entranced by the water, from where I was I couldn't see what gender they were but they were wearing white clothes and their hair was glowing and floating, I didn't dare speak.

(Bills P.O.V)

After the court meeting everything went dark again. If they were trying to make me really uncomfortable in the dark well they successed. My body felt heavy and my eye was set on closing, I knew it was futile to fight it so I let the wave of drowsiness wash over me. When I woke up next I was staring at the sky. The stars were brighter then I've ever seen them.

It was no mystery what happened to me it was honestly pretty clear...when I sat up my body felt like I just got out of a hurricane, I was dizzy and tired yet I didn't want to sleep. My eyes scanned my surroundings and hell if I didn't recognize this place. "Gravity falls..." my voice sounded so different, I didn't even recognize it sounded like a stranger's.

I needed to see what I looked like, as I stood up I noticed an odd glow I glanced around real quick not seeing the thing at first. My hands ran through my hair and finally I figured out what was glowing.

It wasn't all bad the glowing did help me see, though I'm sure there original hope for it was that it would attract some horrible beast that would think of me as quick and easy food. I started walking the pine needles against my feet were a little wet making it a bit easier to walk. Finally I was at some river or pond. I leaned over and looked at myself in the blue murky water.
