Alfred and Matthew were in the high school cafeteria with there friends Francis and Atrthr.
"And then,BANG!" Alfred yelled taking a sip of cherry coke. "Thats exactly what happened."
"So, your telling me that you actually went hunting with your dad, and didn't accidentally shoot yourself with a shot gun?" Arthur questioned. Highly confused, saying that his friend Alfred was a total idiot sometimes.
"Well of corse not." Alfred bragged. " Because, I'm the hero!" Alfred bragged again, a little more confident.
"I'm surprised you didn't end up falling on your fat but." Francis mocked. Francis knew Alfred wasn't fat, it had just been a joke for him ever sense they met.
Alfred stiffend. His facial expression suddenly turned that sad serious face someone makes when they are mad at someone else. Alfred was no longer flashing his amazing Hollywood smile.
"A'e Afred. Alfred's twin brother Matthew said. "Francis was only fun joking."
Arthur began to change the subject. " So, what do you guys think about maple suryp?"
"Oh!" Matthew happily yelled. " I love maple suryp!"
Everyone at the table laughed. Except for Alfred.
"A'e." Matthew said. " Whats wrong bro? I thought you loved maple suryp."
Alfred began to say that nothing was wrong. Then, the lunch bell rang.
Alfred blew out a HUGE sigh if relief. "Thank god!" Alfred threw out his lunch tray and made a B-line for the door.
Matthew had a concerned look on his face.
Francis sighed. " Can't that boy ever take a freaking joke?!"
-Chapter two-
Matthew left the cafeteria hoping to find his twin brother. Alfred was no where to be seen.
"Mrs. Shelly!" Matthew called, hoping she would know the answer to his question.
"My, Matthew what is it!?" Mrs. Shelly said, shocked to hear Matthew yelling so loud.
" Have you seen my brother?" Matthew said.
" Oh yes, he just left." Mrs. Shelly said. " Is everything alright? He seemed rather upset."
" Um...." Matthew hesitated, he didn't want to embarrass his brother in front of a teacher. " No nothings wrong, just looking for him."
" Well, alright." Mrs. Shelly said. " Have a nice night."
Matthew smiled and waved goodbye and left the school in search of his brother.
Everything is not alright. Mrs. Shelly thought. I have never seen Matthew so worried about his brother.
-Chapter 3-
Alfred turned onto his street, and walked up to the porch of his home.
Do I have to go home tonight? Alfred thought.
Alfred pulled out a pen and a piece of paper from his backpack, and wrote a note to his brother.
Dear Matt,
Tell mom I am going to be home late tonight.
Please bring my backpack inside, no need to
Worry about homework, its Friday. Thanks.
-Al
Alfred left the note on the front porch and trailed off until you couldn't see him from his house. So basicly, he walked until he reached the park Matthew and him used to go to when they were kids.
