Chapter 6; Alone Time

I was driving mindlessly. My sight was now blurry cause I can't stop myself from crying. And I wouldn't be surprised if I'll get an accident. But I parked my car along the way cause I don't wanna risk my life.

I immediately turned on my phone and flooded messages came. It takes a few minutes of waiting before my phone stops from vibrating. I didn't bother to open one of those messages.

I'll directly go to my contacts to searched someone whom I could be with. I call Jana, it's just ringing. Then I dialed again and again and again but she won't pick it up.

It makes me cry again. Then next was Benedict, though I know that it would be impossible but I still tried my luck. But I just failed again.

My sobs turned to loud cries. I wiped my tears away para makita ko ng malinaw ang ginagawa ko. Then I saw Jay's name. I won't call this time, para safe na. Then I'll compose a message and send it.

To Jay Engot:

Hoy!

Gusto kung matawa sa text ko sa kanya pero di ko magawa. I need to act normal kahit sa text man lang. Tho, I didn't expect that he would reply to me quickly. Malamang, tulog pa yun ng mga ganitong oras. It's just 7:30 in the morning.

But after 5 minutes, my phone vibrated. It's him. Then I find myself smiling.

From Jay Engot:

Good morning too Sammy (;
What's up?

To Jay Engot:

Miracles do happen talaga!
You're up to something?

Nalaman ko kasi na matagal siyang gumigising when one day, pumunta akong condo niya para manghiram sana ng notes kasi absent ako nung isang araw. And perks of being close to him, I knew his password. Imagine, alas dos na ng hapon. Tulog parin.

Then slowly, myself calmed. My storm mood suddenly fades. That's Jay's effect on me, his like my happy pill.

From Jay Engot:

Well, yeah. Attending a board meeting. Why?

I sighed. Pati ba naman siya? God! I'm hopeless.

To Jay Engot:

Nothing serious tho.

I was about to put my phone in the front seat when he replied quickly. That jerk!

From Jay Engot:

What happened?

Tigas rin ng bungo nito. Goodluck talaga sa kanya kung mahuli siyang nagtetext while on board meeting.

To Jay Engot:

Wala nga. Hoy! You are in a meeting. You should pay attention to.

Then here comes his reply.

From Jay Engot:

Are you sure? It's damn boring Sammy. Glad that you text, I'm alive now (;

To Jay Engot:

Whatever Jay!

Then that's it. No ones free. Haaay! It's gonna be me, myself and I. So, I start my engine. I'm starving already.

Ayokong pumuntang ng mall na malapit lang sa condo ko baka may makakita sakin. So i decide na pumuntang mall sa may North. Roadtrip narin, for me to forget what happened awhile ago.
