Four years ago, Raven was a calm and relaxed eleven year old. Who would do anything for enjoyment. Though all of that changed, a month after her twevlth birthday. It was a cold and misty Autumn night. Raven's father was watching TV, her mother was read a book and her older brother just finished studying for his HSCs while Raven was sitting at the kitchen table drawing some pictures that appeared in her head at the time. Her brother walked out into the kitchen to make himself a hot chocolate when he saw Raven looking outside while talking to herself.
"Hey, Ray! You alright? Do you want a hot chocolate?" Asked her brother.
"Hmm? Oh yeah, I'm fine Ty, and also I don't really feel like a hot chocolate right now. Thanks anyway!" Replied Raven cheerfully.
As Tyler was making his hot chocolate.
"Hey Ty. Did you here something?" Asked Raven confused.
"No. Why?" Asked Tyler.
"Oh...no reason!" Smiled Raven
"Ok..." Tyler replied worriedly.
"I hope she's ok." Tyler thought to himself.
Three hours later, the moon was wide awake and the stars sparkled like tiny little light sprinkled across the night sky. Everyone was sound asleep, except for one.
"Ahhhh!" Raven screamed.
It was midnight and Raven had woken up from a bad dream.
"Hehe, you'll be alright!" A little voice whispered.
"Huh? Who's there?" Asked Raven rather loudly.
No reply.
Ten minutes later Tyler ran through the hallway of the house and straight into Raven's room. Where he saw Raven tearing up and talking.
"P...p...please! Leave me alone...please..."
"Ray...are you-"
Before Tyler could finish his sentence Raven jumped out of bed and hugged him tightly. Tyler didn't even have to say anything to know Raven was not okay. It was about midnight, when Tyler and his parents decided to take Raven to the hospital to see what was wrong with her. At the hospital there was a big struggle to diagnose Raven's problems. It wasn't until twelve thirty in the morning, the family found out what Raven was going through. It took five diagnostic reports until they found out Raven was suffering from a middle case of Schizophrenia and a serious case of PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder).
Raven as they knew wasn't very uneasy after finding out she had two different disorders. Her parents where upset but, told her no matter what she has their support. As for Tyler. He was the same as always. The kind, caring, generous and respectful brother Raven has always had.
The biggest problem for Raven was going to her new school with Tyler.
