So, you might be wondering,
How did I, 20 year-old Jackie,
Come to meet my husband?Well, I'll tell you.
It all started in high school, when the teachers had gotten very tired of me drawing in class. One day, they snatched the drawing from my hands, and ripped it to tiny shreds in front of my eyes. I was in tears, as that had took me days-- no, weeks to finish. They had a very cocky grin on their face, as if they just outsmarted me. I stared at them, tears forming in the corners of my eyes.
"Why did you do that?!" I yelled at them while pointing to the pile of shredded paper. "I worked for weeks on that! It's for ART!"She rolled her eyes, letting out a sigh as if she was an angsty teen. "No, it was not for your art class. Your just drawing because you feel like it."
I felt offended by her words, and wiped my eyes, standing up. She snapped at me. "YOUNG LADY, SIT DOWN NOW."
I dismissed her yelling, letting it turn into background noise. I grabbed my backpack, put the shreds in the backpack, and turned around to face her. "You know what, you were so much better at the start of the year." I slapped her and walked out, grabbing my phone which she had placed on her desk. Even when I left the classroom and closed the door, I could hear her yelling and students laughing their heads off.
I then walked down the hallway to my locker when I bumped into him. He didn't move, as I weighed very little, and he looked very muscular. Some papers flew out of my backpack, because I forgot to close it.
"Oh, um... I'm sorry." I panicked, worrying that he would be mad or something. "I didn't see you there, I'm such a klutz..."
He smiled and bent down to help me. "No, it's fine. I wasn't paying attention either." He looked at the drawings. "Oh, you draw?"
I nodded quickly. "Y-Yeah, sometimes when I'm bored in class." I rubbed the back of my head. "Sorry again..."
He shook his head no. "It's fine, really." He looked at my face. "Besides, your pretty."
I instantly blushed, my whole face going crimson red. "A-Ah, Thank you." He laughed, rubbing my head.
"Hey, do you want to hang out sometime?" I nodded yes, as I thought this would be a good chance to get away from school.
"Sweet, you can come over to my place." He flipped a drawing over, writing his address and phone number.
"See you later, uh..."
He stopped, rubbing the back of his head.
"What's your name?"I smiled, looking up at him. "It's Jackie. Yours?"
He smiled back, rubbing the back of his neck still.
"That's a beautiful name. Mine is Jason.""Well nice to meet you Jason."
I smiled, waving at him.
"You too Jackie. I'll see you later." We both went our separate ways, blushing heavily and smiling. When I got to my locker, I opened my locker to find a orchid flower. "Huh?" I checked a note by the flower, which was:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Honey is sweet
And so are you.
I was sitting there, startled. It wasn't Jason, as we had just met today. And right there and then, I realized I was in a love triangle. I checked for a name, but clearly they weren't dumb enough to put their name on it.
I looked at the flower until I heard the bell go off, noticing it was time to go home. I took the orchid, then shut my locker and ran for the exit. When I got outside, I ran for my bus, as my car was at home and I didn't need to bring it to school, nor did I want to. In case you didn't know, I have a 2017 Toyota Prius. (Note from author: this is set in modern time)I hopped into the bus, keeping an eye out for empty seats. I threw myself into an empty seat, then threw on my headphones and played some music.
Soon, as if we had time travelled, we arrived at my house. Because I lived alone, I just jumped into my car and started it up. I had drove over to Jason's house as sat as the speed limit allowed, which was 60 mph, which wasn't a bad pace. His house was a block or three away, and I got there VERY soon. I jumped out, well, not literally, but I waited outside for him by my car.
