jung:
so how's the project going with her?

jeno:
ah, well...

jeno:
it's good!

jung:
that's awesome.

jung:
so actually, I've been wondering.
what do you see in her?

•••

jeno read the question jung sent, his fingers stopping in its tracks.

what do I see in her?

at the same moment, as soon as jung hye sent that very message, her Friend called out to her.

"hey! jung hye. we need to head to the lab now to do the project."

and also at that moment, jeno's head snapped up at the mention of 'jung'.

he saw a girl with soft brown hair, getting up from her seat as her friend called out. a fellow classmate.

"got it." her voice resounded in his ears, almost melodious.

jung. jung. jung....

it was then he realised. an object was sitting atop of the girl's desk where she had left.

a phone.

a/n; y'all know where this is going ;)

"jung hye!" jeno yelled towards the door, but it was too late. the girl had walked off too far.

it isn't good to leave something as valuable as a phone on a desk. anyone could take it away...

thinking this, jeno picked up her phone and shoved it into his jacket pocket.

i better return it to her when she comes back.

sitting back down on his seat, he pulled out his phone again, staring at the message jung sent.

jung:
so actually, I've been wondering.
what do you see in her?

he began typing then deleting his texts again, unsure of why, exactly, he had a crush on sung kyul.

she was pretty, yes, without a doubt. her attitude was average, and her results were, too.

what else was there?

jeno couldn't give a proper answer.

racking his brains, he realised that he was being a hypocrite.

all he had liked about that girl was her outer appearance, nothing more, nothing less.

just like how he disliked people liking his outer appearance.

it was almost unbelievable, and jeno scoffed at himself for it.

but he didn't just find himself unbelievable for being a hypocrite.

there was something more,

something he just realised.

he then began to type in something definite to answer jung's question.

jeno:
you know...if you hadn't asked, i would never have really known why, so thanks.

jeno:
so here's my answer to you:
i may have liked sung kyul at first glance, but you know what? i actually really liked someone else.

sending the two messages, jeno nodded in delight.

but a few seconds later, he felt something vibrate in his jacket pocket.

what?

it was jung hye's phone.

probably received a message from someone... I shouldn't mind it.

and then the vibration came again.

two vibrations within seconds?

his eyes darted from his own phone's screen and his jacket pocket.

jung, jung hye. second year...SOPA...

its too much of a coincidence.

he grabbed her phone from inside his pocket, its screen lighting up.

and he clicked on it, a gasp escaping his lips.

crush:
you know...if you hadn't asked, i would never have really known why.

crush:
so here's my answer to you:
i may have liked sung kyul at first glance, but you know what? i actually really liked someone else.

so she was the mystery person. the person that had made him confused at his own feelings.

he smiled a little at the contact that she had saved him.

cute. he thought.

he wasn't angry, or anything.

"wow, that took pretty quick." the voice perked his ears. jung hye.

spotting her right outside the classroom, he sped-walk to her desk, placing it nicely where it had been.
