Hugging her jacket closer to her small frame, in hope of conserving some heat. She makes it clear to note in which direction she left her home from. Looking down at her phone. Muttering a small 'fuck' under her breath, noticing her phone is only on 18%. After going into her settings and changing a couple of the settings, still walking.

By the time she had finished reducing the power use, she looks up and finds herself at a park 'Fuck me' she says out loud. Coming up with an idea she quickly takes a picture of the park.

low battery, dark night, small parks

A smile reaches her lips as she notices Mr. Foley had liked the post. Sitting herself down on the swing. Slowly pushing her feet against the ground, allowing momentum to build up until she is swinging, with a bit of power.

It stays like this for a while. Pyper watches the sky above her, granted the stars were not as pretty here as they were at the school.'But the stars still caught her attention just as much. She never knew why, but they had always fascinated her. The idea that when she stares up at the stars thousands of other people are gazing at the same time as her.

A cough captures her attention, she puts her foot on the floor, stopping herself from moving. Her eyes meet a pair of grey ones. They did not sparkle or shine, but she still found them fascinating. A smirk reaches the blue eyes of the boy.

A confused look must have crossed her face as the boy begins to introduce himself "Hi I'm Justin. Justin Foley" my eyebrows raise. She didn't actually expect the guy to turn up, she jumped off the swing looking at Justin. She holds her hand out to shake his.

"I am Pyper," she says with a smile reaching her face. It slowly drops, "but of course you already knew that".

"Nah, don't worry about it," he says with a smirk, a chuckle leaving both of their mouths. "You are much more beautiful in person". This causes her pale cheeks to go bright red, she just prayed that they weren't visible in the dark of the park.

"Oh erm wow" she pushes his shoulder lightly "you are just saying that so I accept your apology" rolling her eyes as she says that.

"I promise, I don't lie" he shoots a wink towards Pyper, both of them taking a seat on the swings. They talked for what felts like a lifetime, to onlookers the pair of teenagers would have looked like two best friends. their conversations lasted for hours, but they were merely strangers in this god awful world.

As the sun begins to rise above the horizon, Pyper pulls her phone out to check the time. But alas the low battery sign just pops up instead. "Fuck me" she mumbles

"Glady" he winks at her quickly following it up with a "Whats up"

"My Dad is going to fucking kill me, I have no idea where the fuck I am and we have school tomorrow, together," she says not looking up from her mucky shoes. Running her hand through her hair in stressed movements.

"You live with Standall right?" he questions taking a step behind her, their bodies being oddly close together. She nods in response to Justin, "I'll walk you home," she goes to deny the help, "and as I need to carry on my grovelling you will be accepting the help from me".

"O-Okay" she runs her hand through her hair, trying to move it away from where it had fallen on her face. The logical part of her brain was telling her not to walk home with some guy she doesn't know, but a mall shred of her heart overpowers his thought process. She wanted desperately to trust someone. To feel a bond with someone, that quite possibly her heart would cause her pain just in order to feel this bond.

He slips his hand, into the girls. So very gently, she couldn't work it out he was nervous, or if he wanted to treat her like a rose because that is what he thought. That she was fragile, a gust of the wind in the wrong direction and she will wilt with the pressure. But he underestimated her. She was used to people doing that.

Despite it being the night the platinum-haired girl shrugs off her jacket, holding it just above the ground, so it doesn't drag along the floor and get muck on it. She walks slightly behind Justin as she walks, but he notices this and begin to walk slower, so they are walking at the same speed. Justin reaches across Pyper's body. Taking the jacket from her hand "Can't have my princess having to carry her own stuff".

"Keyword, own, I don't need you to carry my stuff for me Justin." she tries to grab her jacket back,  but Justin just pulls the jackets away, giving Pyper a quick peck on the cheek. Causing Pyper to go bright red and top trying to get her jacket back. "Aww is the little Pyper blushing", he chuckles a big grin on his face. She walks ahead slightly, before turning around to face Justin, hand pushing the hair that was in her face out the way.

"You are a dick you know that right"

"I've been told"

"Good"

They both burst into laughter at their antics. Justin throws an arm around Pyper's shoulder, pulling her into his side, a smile on his face as they walk home.

Pyper just thought about how knowing just one more person might make her new school better. But as always she had the doubt that her life will drain away down the plug hole of life. Like it has done so often as before.
