you and grayson dolan have been best friends almost your whole life. you met him when you were in kindergarten. he met you when he was in grade one. he was a year older then you which was hard when you were in grade 8 and he was in high school. that was the worst year for you. you had to be separated. he had to go to a way different school and you were afraid he would find a girl and fall in love. and your parents went on a vacation. i know right. you were alone.

your graduation was coming up. finally graduating from high school. grayson had just gotten into university that was over 1500 miles away from you. you were heartbroken. you missed him so much. you loved him. he was the one for you. you just never knew if he felt the same. but now he cant know because he is gone.
you were out buying your dress with a couple of friends. you all went to Sephora, H & M, Forever 21, etc. you wanted to look your best for the big day. but the thought of grayson away was always in your mind. you hated it but you couldn't do anything. he knew that the graduation was coming up but he never brought it up. neither did you.
as you came back home from 14 hours of shopping, you took a shower. you had all your best thoughts in the shower. you kept thinking grayson. i miss him so much. you got out of the shower, hopped into your pjs and jumped into bed.
before you turned off your lamp, you got nervous. i want him to be there but he cant. UGH! i hate it! you were depressed.

birds chirping; you woke up. you grabbed your phone and checked the time.
6:45AM
at that moment you saw the time, you forgot about him. you ran to the bathroom and immediately started curling your hair. Lay me down by Sam Smith was playing from your phone while you finished your hair. you ran to the pther part pf the bathroom and painted the most beautiful makeup on your face. Beauty.
9:30AM
you quickly grabbed your dress and plopped it on. as you were making some adjustments with the dress, grayson texted you.

you paused.
i miss him.
you couldn't reply at the moment for you were busy getting ready. you quickly slipped on your shoes and went to the school. you missed breakfast. you lost your apatite. which never happens.
you ran into the gym and seated beside your best friends.
"did we start yet?" you whispered to Macy. "no definitely not. we are about to tho!" Macy replied. you nodded and seated.

your name was always last. all because of your last name. as you heard someone say "hey dolan!" you thought grayson. but you wondered why they said that so you looked around and saw no one.
GRAYSON POV
"hey dolan!" Chris yelled. "damn it Chris! shut up!!" i whispered, mad.
i kept looking at her. she was beautiful. the dress, the shoes, the makeup, the- her.

i'm so happy she didnt see me. i wanted this to be a surprise.

you paused. you gulped and looked at Macy. "you've got this." Macy mouthed.
you stood up and walked onto the stage. you looked around just to imagine that grayson was here. he wasn't.
you grabbed the certificate and began to pose for the picture. as you broke out of the pose, you heard a faint voice calling your name.
"Y/N!"
you turned your head to the right and saw
him.
you began to tear up and ran up to him. you wrapped your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. "grayson!" you cried with happy tears. he immediately wrapped his arms around you and hugged you tightly.
you couldn't stop smiling.

you broke the hug and got off him just to stare into his eyes. he stared back with lust of love. "happy graduation." he said softly. you smiled big and kissed him.
you couldn't help yourself. you love him. you needed to know if he feels the same.
he broke the kiss and whispered
"i love you."
you were fixed. all your broken pieces were put
together. you are the one for him and he is the one for you.
"i love you too."
