Fomo:fear of missing out

The sound of my camera is heard as I giggle while taking a picture of Tara and Christian racing but Christian is using one of Tara's crutches."I don't know how this is fair to you Tara when your injured ?" I questioned as Christian gave Tara her crutch back. "It's all fun just wait till I'm off these crutches." She says with a smile "When will that be exactly ?" I ask as I see her expression sadden a bit "I don't know " she replies in a low whisper.

"Remember this first time the prince sees Cinderella." Ms.Raine instructs as I slowly back into wrapping my arms around his neck.As I release my self from him I leap forward and turn around to face him."They can't take their eyes off each other ." Ms.Raine continues as Christian and I make eye contact. As I continue looking into his eyes I can't help but to think of all our moments we've had together.Unlike the other pairs we didn't have to fake a connection because we already had one.

"Amazing connection Sierra and Christian." Ms.Raine comments which make me smile a bit. "Yes there's the connection your finally showing me some artistry." She comments at Sammy and Abigail.While continuing the dance I look over to see Tara.I see her sketching in her notebook I couldn't help but feel bad for what happened.This was the worse injury a dancer could have.

We were then interrupted by a phone ringtone going off Tara then quickly answered "Sorry Max I have to call you back later" she say quickly the ending the call."Tara when you requested you wanted to stage this social event I was assured it wouldn't be this disruptive." Ms.Raine says while taking Tara's phone."I'm sorry ms.Raine I promise it won't happen again " Tara said just as her phone started ringing again to which Ms.Raine answered "Tara can't talk right now" then ending the call and continuing with her instructions.

I couldn't help but giggling seeing Sammy hold the phone to Tara's ear while she was on the phone as they continued walking with Kat. As I finished putting my stuff in my bag I then felt two arms wrap around my waist."Hey" he said as I faced him and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Hey are you gonna come with me to catch up with Tara." I ask him "Actually I was thinking that we could do something together just the two of us." he says then gives me a kiss. Recently we have been a bit more intimate we haven't done it but we've had really intense make out sessions.

"I would but I think we should be with Tara till her leg heals." I say as he gives me a slightly disappointed look. "Yeah but we don't know how long it'll take " he says "Then you'll just have to wait till it does" I say with a small laugh unwrapping my arms from him grabbing my bag and leaving.

Currently I'm with Tara and Kat discussing about the formal while trying on dresses ."you know I thought it was a good thing to miss out on the cheesy highschool rituals." Kat says "But it's a defining moment in our teenage lives." Tara says as I laugh "I mean c'mon Sierra the only reason you want a formal is because you have a boyfriend " Kat states while rummaging through dresses as I slightly blush and put my head down. while zipping up the dress. "How does this look " I ask Kat as she looks at me "A bit too much skin" She say as I realize how short the dress was. I sigh in defeat and look for the next dress "Aren't you afraid that the best years of our lives is passing by" I say while finding another dress "While we're stuck dancing yes " Kat says while I give her a glare then step into the changing room. "Which is what the formal is all about avoiding fomo" Tara says "Fomo?" I questioned while putting on my 4th attempt dress. "Fear of missing out" Tara states while peeking her head out of the curtain as I step out of the dressing room " tomorrow you'll feel when your sitting in your dorm in your pajamas while I'm wearing this " Tara the steps out from behind the curtain to show us her long light pink dress with jewels in the middle. Kat and I then share a look "Its perfect isn't it" Tara says admiring her princess like dress while Kat hands her a more simple white dress
while saying "You'll thank me later ".

We continued looking for dresses almost running out of hope to find the perfect dress.As we looked we couldn't help but try on some outfits that looked ridiculous on us. I then put on a hat and stuck my tongue out at the two girls while they laughed.This is what I love about these girls we always have fun no matter where we are.I then stumbled apon a dark blue dress. I grabbed it an went into the changing room and put it on. "How about this?" Tara questions Kat as we both exit the changing room in our dresses. Kat then dramatically puts her hand her chest as if she's touched by her sight . "If I can find a date I'll come to the formal" She says I squeal in excitement .

It was finally the day of the formal. I had just finished curling my hair as I then applied my makeup.Finally I put on my dress and sprayed some perfume. I then looked in the mirror and smiled at my finished look. Just then I hear knock at my door I opened it to reveal Abigail and Tara both in their dresses looking beautiful. They stare at me in a bit of shock "You look amazing Sierra" Abigail comments which make me smile "Thanks Abigail you both look amazing too " I reply as we left my dorm and went to the stairs to see Christian and Sammy. Christian had on an all black suit I blushed a he looked up at me with the same look Tara and Abigail had.As I reached the bottom of the stairs Christian wrapped his arms around me "You look stunning" he say as I smile and give him a quick "You don't look to bad yourself " I say as he laughs "I actually have a surprise for you" he says just as I was about to respond Tara calls me over "C'mon let's go" I say grabbing his hand and catching up with the group.

As we went to the rooftop we could see people already there dancing. The scenery was beautiful with the lights that matched the winter wonderland theme."Do want to dance" Christian asks "I can't Tara needs me do some errands for the formal still" I replied with a frown "Of coarse she does" he says in defeat "Don't worry it won't take long " I reassure him and give him a quick kiss.

I sigh in relief just as I finished the last Tara wanted me to do. Luckily when I caught up with Christian the song playing turned into a slow one. I wrap my arms around his neck as he puts his hands on my waist."See I told I'd make it just in time." I said with a smile "Yeah and just in time my surprise " he says as we continued dancing "What kind of surprise " I question him "You'll just have to wait and see" he replies kissing me passionately just as he did fake snow started to fall."Was this the surprise " I ask in slight disbelief "Yeah I'd figured that you would like something like this" he says "I don't like it I love this surprise. You are the best boyfriend any girl could ask for." I say kissing him right when song finishes."You know recently we've been really intimate lately and I was thinking if you were ready for the next step in our relationship." I ask as he looks a bit shocked "Oh gosh I shouldn't have brought it up." I said "No it's okay actually I've been thinking the same thing I just didn't know when to ask you " he says as I laugh a bit.I then take his hand and walked out of the formal leading us to the dorms.

We were currently on Christians bed making out. He then pulled away and took off his shirt. I then felt his hands on the zipper of my dress but he then pauses "What's wrong" I ask "Nothing I just wanna know if your really ready" he says as I smile and kiss him "I'm ready its okay Christian" I say reassuring him.He then takes of my dress and lies me on the bed while kissing down my neck . That night we didn't just have sex we made love.

I wake up to see my boyfriend asleep next to me. I smile as I see him wake up and look at me "Morning" he says to which I replied "Morning"."Are you okay did you not like it's " he asks sitting up "I'm okay Christian last you made me love you even more it was perfect." I say giving him a long passionate kiss. "I've gotta go get ready for class." I say getting up putting on my dress and shoes."I'll see you later right" he asks still sitting in bed "Obviously idiot " I laugh and kiss him goodbye and left to my dorm luckily no one saw me.
