Emma POV
We were done eating our breakfast, even though it was now lunch time, so like a brunch.

"well. I gotta get going. Those pizzas aren't gonna deliver themselves" harry said getting up and we all followed him to the door.

"thanks for having me guys. I appreciate it. Emma can I have your number so I can keep in contact about the painting?" Harry asked me and I nodded. He handed me his phone and I put my number in it.

"I'll be in touch" he said and awkwardly kissed my cheek before leaving. I was caught off guard because it wasn't a gesture I was used to. I turned around to face my brother and Sam.

"he likes you" Sam said without hesitation.

"no he doesn't" I said looking at him while crossing my arms

"yes he does. He was so nervous talking to you. How didnt you notice?" Joe asked and I shrugged.

"I dont know and i dont care. Now are you gonna help me or continue assuming things" I said slightly annoyed as I went around them and to the living room to finally pick up the broken glass.

"Its been almost a year" Sam spoke softly but I got angry and stood up with a piece of glass in my hand.

"Its been nine months and four days tomorrow" I said whimpering but angry at the same time.

"ok. I'm sorry" he said sympathetically and I felt like a bitch.

"no I'm sorry" I said loosening the grip on the glass.

"I just can't. I lost my husband and my child. I can't get over it" I said letting the glass fall back down to the ground allowing it to break even more. We all stood in silence.

"we have to pack, you only have a day left after today. Let's not talk to each other, just clean" Joe suggested and we all nodded our heads. I began in my room while Sam began on the living room and Joe in the kitchen. I decided to just pack everything and if it was furniture I would decide if I wanted to keep it or not. I would donate things if I didnt want anything. I was done with my room in 3 hours and so were Sam and Joe with their rooms. I decided to sell the furniture.

"I called my cousin who is moving also and she said she would take every furniture piece for $7,000. Including the TV and stuff. Is that okay?" Sam asked

"Is she rich?" I asked and Sam shook his head no. I didn't want her to pay if she couldn't afford it. I just want this furniture gone.

"She's a college student, who has been working her butt off to move away from her trashy parents. I would have helped but she doesn't take handouts" Sam shrugged.

"Can you give me her number?" I asked wanting to talk to her since now I know she would never take all of this for free if Sam told her. I'd have to talk to her myself.

"actually I'm just gonna call her right now" I said as Sam handed me his phone instead of writing the number down. I went up to my room and sat up on my bed. It rang a few times before someone answered.

"what do you want butt munch" she said and I giggled

"um Hi. This is Emma, your cousins sister-in-law. Do you have a few minutes?" I asked forgetting that she might be busy.

"oh my gosh I'm so sorry. I'm Kate and yea I have a few minutes" she said and I continued.

"its fine. Sam told me you would pay $7,000 for all of my furniture but I wanted to give it to you for free." I said and it was quiet for a few seconds before she spoke up.

"I can't just accept that offer. You paid for all of that you at least deserve some money back" Kate said confused.

"To be honest I dont care about the money. Take it as a gift from me to you for starting your life in your new apartment" I said smiling. I remembered my first apartment and that joy I had to be able to get away from my conservative parents.
