TWENTY-ØNE

Past Meets Present

Give me HOPE.

Give me LIGHT.

Give me LOVE.

Those three words is what was keeping Hermione going as she looked down at the foot of the bed with no tears left. She had nothing left. Her muscle disintegrated to nothing and she was left as skins and bones. Her hair was greasy with knots the size of quarters. Her ears picked up the sound of knocking and she rolled her eyes.

"Hermione. It's time to eat." Ginny stated and the girl did nothing as she looked at the door handle as it jiggled. "Come on Hermione! It's been days!" She yelled and tried again. "Alohomora." Ginny muttered and then tried again for it to still be locked.

"Hermione!" She yelled and kicked the door as she walked away. Hermione sighed and moved her eyes back over to see the bloodied razor blade on the bedside table. She looked down and shook her head. Her body then moved herself as her mind was screaming at her.

Her fragile hands picked up the sharp metal and she took in a deep breath. Carefully pressing down and watching as blood dripped down to the floor and she could feel the pain, but it brought her relief.

Just as she was about to end it all, a blue vortex washed in front of Hermione causing her to scream and jump away. "Hermione!" Ginny yelled and the girl looked over it as it grew bigger and bigger and the wind swirled and Hermione's eyes looked over to see a boy being flung to the ground.

The vortex left and Hermione quickly ran over to see their face and she gasped. "Ivy!" She yelled and grabbed onto her figure as she looked over her face.

There were small cuts, and one gash on her arm Hermione heard the door burst open and Ginny gasped. "I'll get Harry." She mumbled and Hermione nods while looking over the red haired girl. Hermione then looked over Ivy as she cried in happiness.

"Ivy." She mumbled and kissed her forehead, then her cheeks, then her lips one time. "Wake up." She whispered and the girl mumbled softly. So softly that Hermione was the only one to hear her cry.

"It's not over." She mumbled and Hermione gasped as she furrowed her eyebrows and then medics came rushing in as Harry and Ginny tried to look over Hermione as she looked at them and smiled.

"She's back." She stated in happiness as Ginny sighed looking over her arm. She helped Hermione to the bathroom and she fixed it up.

Hermione sat by Ivy's side and the machines beeping was the only thing that was keeping Hermione balanced. The sound of Ivy's heart beating was a sign that she was alive. She held onto her hand tightly and then a knock on the door sounded off. She looked over to see Ginny there with a frown over it.

"Hermione, we need to talk about what happened." Ginny said and Hermione smiled.

"I know! Ivy's back-"

"No. What you did." She said as Hermione looked down at her scarred arms, but stopped.

"So? It's in the past." She said and the girl shook her head.

"You don't think that Ivy would question it, when she wakes up. If she ever wakes up?" She questioned and Hermione got up in anger.

"Don't say that! Don't you ever say that!" Hermione said angrily and Ginny kept her frown.

"This is exactly what we are talking about! You are not in your right state of mind Hermione!" She yelled back and the girl shook in anger.

"You don't understand." She said and Ginny sighed.

"You're right, I don't. But I do know that we still need to find out what happened between you and her with whoever sent her away." She stated and Hermione sighed.

"We will find that out later." She said and Ginny rolled her eyes and exited as Hermione sighed and tried to get a grip of reality.

And that moment happened with Ivy gasped awake and choked on the tube sticking in her throat as Hermione stopped her. "Sh, sh, you're okay." She stated and patted her hair down as Ivy gasped and tears came down her eyes.

The doctors rushed in and moved Hermione away as they helped the girl and removed all the technology and giving the girl some tests.

'Where are you?'

'What's you're name?'

'Where do you live?'

The standard questions as Ivy answered every single one. The doctors soon went out and Hermione went back in to look over the brunette's eyes and gasped as the memories came back.

What she did in the past was now revealed by Hermione and then Harry dropped in slight pain as Ginny held her head then it was Ron, Neville, Luna, and last but not least, Draco. His eyes widened and he got up from the couch as he made his way down to the hospital.

Hermione gasped and looked over the girl in love. "Ivy." She whispered and rushed over to her and hugged her and kissed all over her face as the girl held onto Hermione. "I-I thought I would never see you again." Hermione whispered.

Ivy smiled. "I keep my promises, don't I." She said and Hermione nods and kissed her forehead one last time.
