Chapter Thirteen

*Next week*

Liam was focused on writing songs, he just sat on the couch thinking about them. He is also a good dancer but he is really good writing. So I always find him at home, not much happened because this days we were never alone and I had exams so I was too busy.

It was Friday and on Monday I had chemistry which I totally hate. But Ruth told me to keep calm so we went to eat mcdonals. I thought we would only stay there for an hour but we had so much fun the two of us and when we realize it was really late.

So when we were going home someone called to Ruth's phone. She pick it up even that she was driving.

"What?"

"Okay"

"Oh God"

"I be there in seconds okay"

And she hang up, I didn't understand what was happening. I was worried because she looks worried. The same look on the face of Karen when Liam doesn't call.

After 10 minutes of driving we stop on a street which you could listen a few houses away a very loud music.

Ruth just jump off of the car and ran to that house. And I was left alone in there, she didn't explain what was happening, she didn't said a word she just walked away.

Every minute it passed worried me even more, I keep looking through the mirror if Ruth came back. But she didn't, then when I thought about getting out of the car and search her.

I saw her coming but behind her was a guy carrying another guy. Then I realize it was Andy, Liam's best friend. And then all hit me in a second. Andy was carrying Liam. He was drunk, I didn't knew he was that type of guy.

"Get in the car"- Ruth said to me.

I wanted to cry, Liam was the only one who I trusted but he was like everybody else. Another young adult.

I got in the car and watch how Andy laid Liam on the backseat of the car. Then he closed the door and start talking with Ruth.

I only stare at Liam and he look at me with a drunk smile.

"Hey don't be angry at me"- he said reaching a lock of my hair and start playing with it, twisting it with his fingers.

"I'm not angry I'm just.."

"Disappointed?"

I nodded.

"Well Adriana you should know you deserve someone better than me. I'm not good for you"

I didn't respond I just turned around and sat waiting for Ruth to get in.

That was one of the longest ride home I ever had.
