Goodbye (pt. 1)

          (Y/n) POV
         It had been three months of dating and I never wanted to leave Yuuma's side but it seemed like his attention was always focused on other things, I not being one of them. He treated me no different from when we were just prey and hunter, it always hurt me to know that his sleep and garden was of more importance than me, I couldn't even spend time with him at these moments because I "bother him too much.", that's when I decided to just leave him altogether.
          I was outside walking around minding my own business when I saw saw Yuuma tending to his lush garden, 'He looks at peace.', I smiled debating on weather I should go to him or leave him alone. I decided to just leave him on his own so I wouldn't disturb him, and not get my blood stolen forcefully once again. I started to walk away from the scene when I heard his voice call out my name, "(Y/n), what are you doing out here?" I turned around and looked into his narrow eyes, "Nothing much, just walking around." "Mind helping me pick some of these vegetables.", I nodded and quickly made my way to his side.
           He picked up a cherry tomato and held it out to me, once I got there, I looked questionably at him as I took the small tomato and popped it into my mouth. "Mmmm! It's great Yuuma!", I smiled at him but he looked away making me feel a bit down. I forgot the matter and sat next to him as he plucked some carrots from the dirt ground, "Bring that basket would ya.", he pointed behind me and I saw a large empty basket, I grabbed it and laid it next to him as he placed them gently in, "Go pick the cherry tomatoes.", he said to me, his back still turned, "Alright."
            As our picking started to come to a halt I grabbed onto one of the heavy baskets and made my way to the manor doors, "Sure you got it?", he asked, probably concerned about the vegetables, "Yeah, no worries."
            I got into the kitchen and placed down the many vegetables on one of the counters, Yuuma followed me. "Thanks for the help (y/n).", he said in a low monotone voice, I nodded and decided to leave but I stood next to him to give him a quick kiss. I tried to pull down his shoulder so I could reach his cheek with more ease, but he wouldn't budge, so I had to go the hard way. I turned his face to me and attempted to place my lips at the corner of his lips, but he got out of my grasp entirely causing me to fall over from the lack of support, "Just get out already.", I nodded once more exiting the kitchen to the living room.
            As I got into the room I noticed Kou was sitting on one of the couches, he looked at me with a bright smile and waved. I waved back but my smile was no where to be seen that worried him. Kou and I had been friends since I got here at the manor, he was the one that I connected with so easily, but I saw him like a big brother, I knew he didn't see me the same way it was more of a love interest. "What's wrong?", he asked as he stood up from the couch and embraced me tightly, "is it that stupid brother of mine again?" I nodded as I wrapped my arms around his torso and laid my head against his warm chest, "Do you want me to talk to him?" "No, maybe later but not now.", I said in a hushed voice that only he could hear. "Why did I trust him? And of all things it had to be with you.", he laid his head on mine, I listen to his calm breathing and close my eyes. "Can I take you back?", he asked, seriousness covering his voice, I looked up at him in surprise as his bright cerulean eyes looked back at me with hope. "K-Kou? You know h-how I see you." "I know, but I can't bare to see you in this state anymore." "I-" "(Y/n)! What are you-", Yuuma had exited the kitchen to see Kou and I hugging one another with angry eyes, "I already told you, your mine and no one else's!" He forcefully grabbed onto one of my arms and pulled me out of Kou's embrace, Yuuma had moved me out of the way to punch Kou in the face. (I'm so sorry Kouuuuuu!!!!!!) I stood stunned at the action, Kou looked at me to try and keep me in place, but I couldn't watch him get hurt, "Yuuma that's enough!", the male turned around to face me, "Your mine, I should be angry!", he yelled at me about to punch Kou once again. I ran to Kou's side and hugged his neck, I thought Yuuma's hit was going to contact with my back, but the impact didn't come. "(Y/n), it's natural for him to get mad, even if it's his brother." "No! He can hurt me if he wants but I'll protect you like you've done for me!" I turned around to face Yuuma who looked...................hurt? I saw his eyes look down sadly at the ground, "Keep her Kou, it's obvious that she isn't mine.", "Hurry, get him!" Kou whisper screamed at me as I let him go, I felt his presences leave, Yuuma and I the only ones left. I reached for his hands "Yuu-" "quit would ya! I can already tell your not happy! I treat you no different from before, even though I want to. I can't give you what you deserve, I'm just an idiot." "Please don't sa-" "it's true! I can't even treat you like a proper girlfriend!" I looked at him as he spilled out his words, "I want to treat you so much more different than now, but I don't know how to.", I reached for his hand once again but he dodges my movements, "But I know in the end I'll hurt you, that's why I don't want you to touch me. That's the only way I can protect you.", I hugged his torso burying my head in his chest, "Please I know you won't hurt me!" "I want to believe in that to, but I know I can't." "I know you can show a little of affection!", a single tear escaped my eye, "I never thought this day would come but, I truly do love you, (y/n).", he pushed me off, "goodbye" I heard him say, and with that he vanished from my sight. "Y-Yuuma.....", I wanted to look for him but it was useless, I knew he had gone far away from me, to where? I didn't know, but I wanted my vampire back. "Please don't be gone for too long, I love you too."
