2 years later...
You stood at the line of graves with Kitsune, still grieving. "I just got a call from the doctors.. Nurusume is still in a coma." He walked to you and Kitsune. "It's been years since she's woken up." Kitsune said. You kept looking down at the graves. "Let's go, we should get back to work." You followed them to a car, it was still and silent at the graveyard, you felt a pair of eyes were watching you, but no one else was there.
1 day later...
You woke up. You missed 67 calls from Kitsune. Once you called her back the answer you got was shocking and joyful. The words were unveiled, "Nurusume is awake! Hurry to her hospital room!"
You ran through the rainy streets with no umbrella and no cares. All you could think about is celebrating Nurusume's awakening. You kept feeling something was a bit off. Everyone around you had their noses stuck in the newspaper, reading some shocking news. Others were watching the news on their phones, in cafes, or even at the front of a TV display window. What's wrong with them? You asked yourself.
As you stopped in front of the hospital you brushed the rain off your clothes and hair. You checked in at the desk and ran to Nurusume's room, slamming the door open.
You looked at the empty patient bed. "Y-you said Nurusume was awake! Now she's gone!?" You looked at Kitsune and Enlil. "We couldn't contact you, before we both got here," she put a hand on your shoulder, "the doctor told us she ran away, they didn't even get to diagnose her yet." Enlil looked at you, "They were only able to predict that she had a serious case of amnesia, or she has an unknown sickness that can only last her a year." Your phone started to ring, it was Nurusume calling...
"Hello, this is Nao Nanaba, would you know whose the owner of this phone?" A female voice asked.
"Yes, where are you Miss Nanaba?" You asked.
"The cafe nearest to the lake."
"I'll be there right away."
