My POV
The next morning, Junior woke me up. We had to eat. I got onto his back, and we walked down to the stream. Junior reared up, and picked some nice, crisp, ripe, red apples from a short tree. He gave the apples to me, and I cut them with my knife. I ate them, and drank from the clear stream by cupping my hands together, and grasping the water. Junior ate the grass, nuts, certain flowers, and the apples that grew from the trees. If we were lucky, we'd find mint leaves, and berries.
Super was the hard part. The kill.

I sling my bow and arrows across my back.
"Come on Junior!"
I say as he trots over to me, and I get on his back. We walk out deeper and deeper into the woods.

"Look June, rabbit!"
He shakes his head, and I load, aim, shoot!
"Missed!"
I aim again. Shoot! Got one!
I hop off Junior, and retrieve my kill.

"Well buddy, we're gonna have to wash it real good."

Junior nodes.
I take the rabbit and get back on Junior, and we head back.

When we get back, I dis-mount and lay the dead rabbit on a bed of leaves. Junior laid down to rest, and I started to wash, and skin the animal with my knife. I walked to go get wood, and knocked two rocks together and started a blazing fire. I set up three sticks, and strung the rabbit through one, and let it cook nice and good.

A couple minutes later, the meat was done cooking. I cut it up and ate it.

"Mm, this is good Junnie, want some?"
I say.

Junior whinnies, and moves his head side to side as if to say 'no', and goes back to eating his grass.

After we ate, I put Junior's bridle on him, and we went out. We ride through the woods, and up a narrow, dusty trail.
"Let's look for feathers boy!"
I tell Junior.

He whinnies.

We ride past the tall, full, green trees, and over dusty rocks. All of a sudden I spotted some feathers!

"We found some Junior!"

I hop off him, and collect the feathers. I put some of them in my horses mane, and the others in my hair.
For the rest of the day we continue to look for feathers, and ride below the soaring eagles. The sun beat down on us.

"Junior, go fast!"
I tell him as he picks up a canter, then starts to run.

We fly through the valleys, wiz down the dusty trails, and cut through the greenery of the vast land.
All of a sudden:
"Kauboys! Ran Jooniyar!"
(Cowboys! Run Junior!)

"Main nahin hai mi dhnush baan!"
(I don't have my bow and arrow!)

We speed back to camp with the cowboys shots in the distance. When we get there we rest.

"That was too close Junior! Way too close."

Junior whinnies.

"We'll go out again tomorrow Juno."🏴
