First of all, we wanted to say that this story is not completely ours. We found a post that describes this situation (not all of it, but the main plot). I was going to put the post up there, but, well, I lost it. Sorry jeje.

And of course, this fanfic couldn't even exist if Rick Riordan hadn't written the Percy Jackson's series. Thank you so much, Uncle Rick.

Enjoy the story,

May and Sonia

"Look at her, poor girl. I'm going to ask her again if she wants to drink something while she's waiting" Grover said, giving another beer to Percy.

Percy keep staring at her "I don't think anybody is coming. She's been here for 45 minutes".

"It's worth trying" he said while he was already on his way.

Percy saw how his friend asked the blonde girl if she wanted something, getting back a no and a sad smile as a response.

"Dude, sometimes being a waiter sucks" Grover said approaching Percy.

His friend looked around the restaurant and saw people's looks and mumblings about how her date had stood her up. He felt sorry about that girl; she was so pretty, and that boy was such a jackass if he couldn't see it.

After a while, he looked back at her, watching how she was about to cry, and decided to do something when she started covering her face and looking sadder.

He stood up and waited for Grover to come back from the table he was cleaning. When he came back he asked him if he could use the waiter's exit.

"Why?" Grover asked, confused.

"I'm just going to help a pretty girl" he said and winked him, with his I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-about-to-do smile turning back to the kitchen, trying not to be seen.

Back to the street, he rounded the restaurant and stoop up in front of the main entrance, thinking about what he was going to do next. As always, he had no plan, at least, not a good one.

Five minutes later, he gave up waiting for a good idea to come up, and entered the place without knowing what he was going to do next.

He looked for the table where the girl was sitting and when he saw her, he made his way to her.

"Sorry I'm so late, babe, the traffic is crazy right now" he said while he sat up in front of her. Quietly, he adds "I'm Percy, just go with it, yeah? Whoever didn't bother to show up is a dick."

The girl looked at him with a confused face. "I'm Annabeth" she said, noticing how people's mumblings stopped. "Thank you."

Percy smiled, and he was about to say something when the waiter showed up next to them.

"Would you like to order now?" Grover said, sending incriminatory looks to his friend.

"Yes! I would like..." and he couldn't finish the sentence because Grover interrupted him. "Are you sure? Wouldn't you prefer to see the menu first?"

Percy looked at him, nervously, avoiding Annabeth's look, and when he was going to answer something probably stupid, she saved him.

"Yeah, we would like to, thanks" and the waiter left, giving Percy a last look. "You know him, right?" she asked.

"Yup, best friends since 6th grade" he said, with a half-smile, making her laugh. His smile grew bigger and without thinking, as always, he said "I like your laugh, it's cute" his face turning red when he realized what he just said. "Wait, I didn't want to say that, I mean, it is cute, you are cute; shit, I didn't want to say that neither..."
