"That's the last one." Brianna sighed out of breath, wiping her sweat, she stared at the empty living room and the boxes that were full of her personal junk. This would be the last time she will ever see this house again. The scuffed hardwood floors, and the cyan painted walls will just remain as a memory. "You ready pal?" Brianna's mom asked with slight worry in her voice. "Yes mom..." Brianna walked over and embraced her mother in a warm hug. "I'm gonna miss you," Brianna sobbed  "Stay strong Bambi your going to be a strong, independent woman."  her mom said with a tear escaping her eye. Bambi was a childhood name that her parents called Brianna for as long as she can remember. Brianna was finally escaping the sunny state of California to live in Beijing, China. Second thoughts rushed through her mind almost the whole entire time packing, what if I change my mind in the middle of the flight... maybe I shouldn't go. What if something happens and I become homeless? What if....what if...what if, is all she can think of. But her mind is determined to live somewhat a life. No second thoughts, you're going to be fine. The support of her mother and her two sibling is all she needs. "I'm ready." She uttered

1 1/2 long hours later...

The moving truck is filled to the rim and both mother and daughter are headed to the post office. Brianna has saved up lots of money to ship most of her belongings to her house in China. After the pair dropped off and payed to send all her stuff to the far away house, they headed straight to the airport. "I guess this is it." Brianna said, "I love you Bri, don't you ever forget that. Call me when you arrive. " Brianna embraced her mother in a soft hug.  They exchanged goodbyes and in what seemed to be seconds Bri was off in the clouds staring from the window. From here to there... then I hop on another plane from this spot Brianna mapped out her plan in her head while listening to music on her cassette player. Wise men say...only fools rush in but I can't help falling in love with you Elvis Presley to James Brown, and Michael Jackson. She probably had gone through every song twice after landing permanently in Beijing.

Walking out of the airport the humid air whisked against her caramel skin. The wind danced freely in her wild black hair. The scent of freedom and independence lingered in the air...but not to mention it also smelt like sweat because Brianna was pretty nervous. She tilted her sunglasses onto her face and called for a taxi. There's no turning back now she thought....and damn she thought right because she traveled over 2000 miles to get here and the plane ticket was hella expensive. "Chūzū chē! (Taxi!)" Brianna shouted while holding her thumb out...a taxi driver kindly pulled up beside her and hopped out of his car. He then took her bags and shoved them in the trunk. And they were off to her new apartment. The car ride was pretty awkward, but it only took 30 minutes to get from the airport to her house.
