Chapter 3: Ground Rules

What appear on the sonogram surprised us. Instead of have one child or even two children. We were having triplets. Seung Jo even gave me a surprised present. When he save the sonogram, he fainted. That right, I'm not kidding. He fainted. The doctor had a couple of nurses to lift him into a chair.

After a few minutes he woke up.

"Woah, what happen?", he ask with a confuse look on his face.

"You fainted.", I straight out told him.

"I fainted?", not believing me, he look at the doctor.

"That right. You fainted.", the doctor confirm what I said.

"Wow, that so hard to believe.", he said with a shock expression.

Laughing, I told him what I plan on doing when we get home, "I know right. Wait into the family hears about this. The Great Seung Jo fainted."

"Are you planning on telling them?"

"Why, yes."

"So, when are we telling the family?", I ask curiously in the car.

"I think after the first term is a good time to tell them." He said back in a monotone voice.

"Yeah, I thing that is a good time too."

"What do you want to eat?"

"I really don't know. The craving haven't kick in yet I guess. But I'm lucky because I haven't had morning sickness yet."

"You are really lucky because I know some mother-to-be who been having so bad morning sickness."

"Huh, I don't want morning sickness."

When we got home it was almost midnight. Seung Jo help me out of the car and got the bags out of the trunk. He help me up the stairs and into the house.

"What do you want to eat?" He ask me.

"Anything really because I'm so hungry that I can eat a horse."

"I'm sure you can." He chuckle.

"What is that suppose to mean."

"What I'm is that you are eating for four person right now."

"Are you saying that I fat?" I cry.

"What? No, I mean that you are pregnant." He ask back in a hurry.

"Just because I'm pregnant does not give you an excuse to call me big."

"Yes, honey, just because you are pregnant does not give me the right to call you big." He hug me and kiss my forehead.

Later that night when we were settling into bed, he ask me a question.

"Why did wait so long to tell me that you are pregnant? Now I know that you want it to be a early anniversary present but why did wait for so long?"

"I guess ... I want to surprise you on the honeymoon, but you were to business to your work. I planned to tell you on the first night there but you were always busy. So I waited for another opportunity, but it never came so I just told you."

"I'm so sorry that I never paid you any attention on the honeymoon. I know there isn't an excuse for my behavior and sorry is not going to cut it. I going to work to show you that I'm really am sorry for my behavior on the honeymoon. Now go to sleep, you are going to need it."

"Good night Seung Jo."

With the sun shining in my eyes, I woke up to my handsome husband's face. Staying there for a few minutes and just stare at his face, I wonder how I got so lucky to have him as my husband. Then I got to thinking, well he love me when I cat and huge? I started to cry. Seung Jo woke up with a start and was greeted by his wife crying face.

"Honey, what wrong?", he ask with a caring tone.

"You not going to love me when I'm fat and big!", I yell.

"No. I going to love you now and forever, even if you are fat and big.", he try to reassure her.

"So, now I fat and big?!" I said angrily.

"No, you are just pregnant with our children. You will never be fat and big in my eyes." He smile.

"Really?"

"Yes. I will love now and forever."

"Haha. I guess my hormones are coming on strong now, isn't it?"

"Yeah, your hormones aare raging." He chuckle.

"What is that suppose to mean?"

"Nothing. It just that your hormones kick in early then the moms I see at the hospitals."

"So now I not like the regular moms you see every day, huh"

"No I mean that you are... um... special. Yeah that right you are special."

"Uh huh. Nice save."

"I know right." He laugh. "Now how about we go downstairs to get so food for you and the children."

"Sure but me brushed my teeth first." I run my tongue over my teeth. "It feel ickie. I don't like."

"We can brushed our teeth together."

Seung Jo help me climb out of bed and walk with me the bathroom. It like he doesn't think that I can walk to the bathroom with out tripping or hitting table. If he is going to do this for the entire pregnancy then I'm going to have to set some rules. He not going to like it but he is going to have to deal with it if he wants to sleep in the same bed tonight. After brushing our teeth, I kick him out of the bathroom so I can go take care of my business privately. Walking out of the bathroom, he help me to the bed and sat me down then went to the bathroom to take care of his business. I decide that when he come out I will tell him the rules.
Seeing the door opening, I quickly said, "Honey we need to talk."

"Oh uh. Those words are never good." He nervously look around to see of anything is out of place.

"I want to set some ground rules." I confidently said. Even though I was freaking out inside, I kept a calm face.

"What ground rules?" He question.

"These." U show him the list of rules I made while he was in the bathroom.

1. You can take care of me but when I said enough, I mean enough

2. I need a certain time a day by myself.

3. Never question me when I want something.

4. If you do something I don't like, you sleep on the couch in till I say so.

"Do we agree on these terms?" I uncertainly ask.

"Yes, but if I see something I don't like when you said enough then I going to said something."

Thinking about that, I thought that it was fair. "Fine, but be warn about the consequent."

"Then I think we will be fine."

After shaking hands and hugging it out, we made our way to the door and down the stairs, we were getting breakfast.
