♡READER'S POV♡
I jogged forward, waiting for the baton to hit my palm. Once i felt the cold metal in my sweaty hands, I ran towards Aso Rito. The sun was killing us, but we had only a few days to practice. I ran faster, forcing the baton in his very own hands. Aso ran like his life depended on it. With all his might, he ran back to the starting line. Sweat dripped from his forehead as he wiped it off, panting. "10.22 seconds," the gym teacher, Kyoshi Taiso, mumbled with disappointment. The relay members sighed, holding onto their knees for support. "Takashima Academy has 8.56. Don't be sad though! Try harder next time," Kyoshi yelled, smiling brightly. The gym teacher waved us goodbye and started walking away, still holding her smile. With that, Aso turned toward us in a determind manner. "We can do this guys! Relay is about team effort," He chirped, flashing his signature grin. The track members nodded, smiling back. "(Last Name), may I walk you home?" Aso asked, a reddish color on his cheeks. I smiled, nodding. Of course, i was scared. I mean, he could be disappointed about my performance, but he seemed embarrassed. Almost flustered, even. We walked beside each other on the sidewalk, talking carelessly about school. Nothing out of the ordinary. "Why did you want to walk me home?" I asked curiously. His whole face turned red in an instant, sheepishly grinning. "It's just that people have been disappearing lately. I'm worried about your safety," Aso defended, cupping his red cheeks. As we neared my home a hand held my shoulder gently. "You know... I would lay down my life for you," Aso confessed, blushing redder than before. My face heated up as I smiled at his flustered figure. "I would too," I mumbled, kissing his cheek lightly. I waved goodbye and stepped onto my porch. Grabbing my keys, I heard a sudden noise. Yelling was followed and also some heavy footsteps. I dropped my keys and hurried to the sound of fighting. "You will never have her!" A voice yelled. It sounded awfully familiar. I neared the sound, hiding behind my neighbor's brick house. Peeking slightly, I saw two figures. A blonde haired one and a black haired one. The black haired one chuckled in a menacing tone. "And why do you think that?" He asked, holding something sharp. It glowed on the moon's light, showing the shape. "A knife?! What are you going to do with that, W-Weirdo!" The blonde haired one shouted loudly. That's when it hit me, it was Aso! My eyes widened in fear. I didn't want him to be killed. Aso growled, clenching his fist even tighter. The black haired guy chuckled, smiling at him with a grin like no other. I moved closer, looking at the red spots on his shirt. That wasn't paint! It was blood! "You know, you should learn your place. Once I kill you, I will be there for Senpai," He chuckled, holding the knife tighter in his sweaty hands. I didn't even notice the knife was bloody as well. Silence. Everything was silent. A few words were thrown here and there, but all i heard was silence. I turned around catiously, waiting for any jumpscare. It came. The face of the gym teacher, Kyoshi, was touching my very own shoulder. Well, what was left of her face. Her face was torn off, except her eyeballs. Her body was so bloody that you couldn't even identify her. Kyoshi laid limp in a dumpster near me. I tried holding my nose, but i couldn't. I had to scream.
ASO RITO END
My hand was losing it's strength. Was this the end? The knife came closer as I slowly let go, shutting my eyes. I waited for the impact of the knife, but it was never there. I squinted one eye, but saw no one. He was gone. All of a sudden, i heard a blood curdling scream. That wasn't just an ordinary scream though. It seemed familiar. I walked closer to the sound and found a girl curled up in a ball, crying. She looked awfully familiar though. "A-Are you okay?" I asked, stuttering. She lifted up her face and i saw it. "(First Name)?!" I yelled loudly. Tears slid down her face as she whimpered. I wanted to hug her, but i couldn't. Could I confess right now? Suddenly, she pointed at a bloody mess near her. I came closer, not even knowing what it was. The gym teacher.. Tears started to fall as I hugged (First Name) with her head on my chest. Nobody should ever see a sight like this. I grabbed her hand and started to walk towards her house. She followed silently, not even bothering to say anything. It was quiet... It was alway quiet... As we reached her porch, I grabbed her hand and turned her away from the door. Her face had a hint of red on them. Cute like always. I kissed her forehead and smiled. "I love you."
Ayato Aishi Ending
I stabbed Aso in the chest as he fell onto his knees. I smiled widely as his eyes go lifeless. What a pleasant sight to see. I put the knife inside his hands, trying to stage a suicide. I knew it probably wouldn't work, but it was worth a try. There was no point in hiding his body. A blood curdling scream was heard as I was fixing my knife in his hand. "Somebody already found it, huh?" I mumbled, chuckling. I grabbed the knife and started to walk towards the noise. There she was, crying. "Senpai, don't cry!" I tried to cheer her up, but she kept crying. I smiled gently at her, wrapping my bloody arms around her. I pulled her closer to my chest every time a tear slipped. Kissing her forehead, I whispered,"Mine forever."
