To love would also mean to give your all
not being afraid to drop the ball
not being afraid to completely fall
To love would also mean to put someone else before you
to give up your needs and wants too
to completely put your past behind you
To love means to care
To care means to want to understand
To understand means to need to remember
To remember means you have to try and forgive
But no one forgives anymore
All they do is bang down your doors
And turn your love into some kind of war
To fight in a war would mean to give it your all
not being afraid to drop the ball
not being afraid to completely fall
To fight in a war would also mean to defend
you may think you have a friend
who'll ride or die with you till the very end
but by now you ought to know that fake friends are the new trend
Love and war can be the same yet different
The real test is remembering the difference so you know of which one you should keep your distance
