yellow;
reminds me of the fire hydrants
down in Arkansas,
and the color of the blind cat i raised there
for a few weeks until it died.
yellow reminds me of the specks in your eyes,
only visible to a person thats close enough to see.
i'm so happy to be one of those people
lucky enough to see the beauty of emotion
in your green eyes.
green;
reminds me of the leaves on the trees by the river,
and how the water reflected your eyes to be
the most beautiful color i've ever seen,
green reminds me of the sweatshirt of mine
that you wore at a party we went to
when the sky was black.
black;
reminds me of the night,
when the stars shine and the moon is bright.
black reminds me of the color of my jeans i wore to our first concert,
when my head was confused
and my thoughts were red.
when i felt everything
for the first time.
