So let's recap what happened to our poor Bella! The first day on the job was not a total success. the bright side is that she met a handsome guy there so it wasn't all bad.
Walking up to the white castle like building Bella open the door and was greeted by a couple in their mid 30's who was talking to a young boy that seemed to be crying for a long period of time. The mom looked up and Bella gave her a small smile before continuing her way. Pheobe was the only one in the small break room, Bella checked her watched maybe she was late? "You aren't late honey your just on time the others don't get here until in about two hours. Most of the patients are still asleep."
It was 4 in the morning, God, did Bella hate waking up that early she should have been used to it by now seeing how she woke up that early for high school back then. "I almost got scared there for a second. In advance sorry, if I seem out of it I usually wake up around 6 or 7 in the morning." Hanging her small cardigan on a hook she turned to the coffee machine and prepared herself a good ol' cup of coffee. "Oh, darling you'll get used to it eventually it's just a matter of time. Here want some freshly made chocolate chip cookies?" Both women laughed and had their early morning snack as Phoebe called it. twenty minutes later they were heading toward Erica's office.
"Hello, pretty lady I was told you were looking for us?" Phoebe grabbed Bellas hand and they both went inside the office " Well hello ladies glad you dropped by. Bella, I have a small present for you. Here I hope you like it." She took the small white box and opened it to find a pink nurse uniform. " Thank you, weirdly enough I always wanted one. Does this mean I'm official now? The three women laughed "Why don't you go try it on next door then come back so we can see how it fits." Nodding Bella walked towards the door and exit the office. Once in the office next door she started changing the door suddenly open and Bella jumped! " I'm terribly sorry love! I didn't expect someone to be in my office."
Well, that wasn't embarrassing at all, that was a good first impression, wasn't it? " No no it's my fault I should have locked the door but then again it's your office. I'm just glad you didn't catch me semi dressed. That would have been awfully embarrassing on my behalf." Picking up her clothes Bella made her way toward the door. Just as Jack began to walk toward his desk. She couldn't help but look at his eyes she saw something so familiar about those eyes. " Welcome to the team, Miss Lombardi." "Thank you, boss. call me Bella please." He chuckled "Okay Bella it is. See you later." She stood outside his office for a few minutes recollecting herself before entering Erica's office.
Around 5:30 the rest of the nurses and staff started arriving. The cafeteria staff had gotten there at five and prepared breakfast. Everyone got ready all their things and schedules for the day at exactly six, patients started coming into the cafeteria. "Bella we don't eat until our section of the building gets called. Come let's go see if everyone is ready for breakfast." they walked up the stairs and made their way toward the designated section.
