"Blade Maddox Keen!" Chief Daniels of the Luat Military voice surrounded the area as my name was called. I walked slowly and everyone just watched. That's right I took my time. There was no need to hurry and no one was going to make me. I finally approached him and he looked me in the eye for a long time as if he already didn't like me.

"Blade Maddox Keen?!" He said again this time for intimidating as if he was trying to use my name as a weapon against me.

"That's me Sir!" I nodded.

"Take a seat Mr. Keen." He smiled before sitting down and easing back slowly in his chair.

"So what's your story?" He grinned softly before lowering his eyebrows.

"Excuse me?" I coughed purposely.

"Your story? Tell me about you. Your family? Anything?" Chief this time sat up as if he was about to get the story of his lifetime.

"Sir. I don't have a story. I have no family. No kids. No story. Sorry for the disappointment Sir." I said coldly hating the fact he asked me that in the first place.

The chief took a cigar from his desk and then he lit it. He just gawked at me like he was trying to read me.

"Blade if you want to be a Soldier I need to know something about you. If you refuse well then by all means leave.

I clenched my teeth. And I balled my fist.

"You want a story?" I yelled deeply.

"Of course isn't that why you're sitting here?" The chief smiled.

"Well chief at nine years old I saw a man get a bullet put in his head. That man was my father. At age eleven I watched my mom force pills down her throat and kill herself. And at age thirteen my little brother died in fire. Chief I went from foster parent to foster parent and at single one I got beatings. I have 27 scars on my back chief. So no I don't have much a fairy-tale story. But you wanted a story so I gave you one!"
