The sound of glass being shattered down the hall pierces my ears and the indistinct yelling and fighting echos through my room.
Never a decent nights rest for anyone anymore; not since mom passed away two years ago. . . .It was June 29th, 2003 when father and I had received the news that she had perished in a house fire caused by a lit cigarette.
She was staying at her sisters house and they had been smoking and drinking when One of them decided to leave a lit cherry on a package of rolling papers. My aunt survived, but sadly, mother couldn't make it. . . My mom's name, you might ask?
Jillian Garner; mother to two little girls, and wife to the local drunk. Ever since she left this world things changed for the worst. To get over the pain of losing mom, dad would have a new girl over almost everyday.Dad's current "girlfriend" has been staying with us for weeks now and everyday is another unsolved argument. My younger sister Mary stays in my room most of the time because she's constantly scared of what could possibly happen every night.
But once morning struck in, every thing was normal. Dad was happy and so was his girlfriend; it was like a limbo that was impossible to escape.I don't want to classify myself as suicidal, just a little bit done with being alive at this point. My home doesn't have the welcoming feel it had before, plus, dad and I aren't very close anymore; we argue, fight, and disgust each other.
Not really the lushous life. This is the end of chapter one, "Introduction", this will be continued, but until then go check out my current story, "he never knew".
