I was getting ready for my date with Matt. "Dress fancy." he mumbled to me as he texted away on his phone. I rolled my eyes and looked through my closet.
It took me about half an hour to find something but I did.

I finished strapping the shoes on and quickly brushed throughout my hair. I made a twisted braid crown. I had a few minutes left before Matt come so I went to go check on the twins. They were with Cam and Hayes, they wanted to babysit.
"Mommy!" They yelled when I came in. I yelled with them and ran to hug them.
They went back to reading their books and I sat on the bed with Hayes. Cam was apparently taking a shower so it was just Hayes watching them.
"Haysie poo bear." I said in a wierd voice, picking his face. "Tay boo bae." He mocked me. We laughed as I kept pointing at his face.
"You look really beautiful today, by the way." He said. "Oh so I didn't look beautiful yesterday?" I ask, joking. "Of course you did, you always do."
I could hear how nervous he was. But why, was my question.
"Well, thank you, Haysie. You look pretty cute today too."
He looks down and smiles to himself. I laugh and look down at my phone.
Matt: Can't make it tonight. Something came up, sorry.
I sigh and roll my eyes.
"What's wrong?" Hayes asks, taking my phone as I hand it to him.
"What the fuck? Is he serious?"
"Yup." I say, unstrapping my shoes.
"No, you go change into something more casual, comfortable I guess. And I'll wait here."
I go back to my room and change into this.

It was a little bit windy so I threw on one of Hunter's hoodies. I stole it from him and till this day he still doesn't notice. I left my hair the way it was and went over to Cam's room.
"See? Isn't that more comfortable? And you still look beautiful." He says. I smile at him. I say goodbye to the twins and Cam while Hayes pulls me out of the room.
"So, where are we going?" I ask. "To the beach! And then after that, something even more fun."
"Funner than being at the beach?"
"Oh yeah! Totally."
We laugh and continue to walk. The hotel and the beach were somewhat near each other so we decided to walk. We finally got to the beach and found a spot to sit. There weren't many people here, two or three couples at least.
Both Hayes and I stared at the shore. His hand intertwined with mine. It felt... right? This isn't how it feels like with Matt. But with Hayes, even if it was just us holding hands, I felt something I've never felt before.
"I- um, is this okay?" He clears his throat. "More than okay." We smile at each other, which seems like forever. But it was okay.
"Aww, you two are the cutest we've seen! Mind if we take a picture of y'all?" A little old lady asks. "We take pictures of people and places we visit to remember our lives." Her husband adds.
"Oh yeah, of course." Hayes and I say. I smile at the camera while Hayes kisses my cheek.
Hayes asks for a copy of that and they old couple kindly give it to him. They walk off while we look at the Polaroid. I look at it and notice that Hayes was looking at me in a certain way.
My stomach did cartwheels as Hayes intertwined our hands together again. Am I falling for Hayes? Who am I kidding, Im basically falling 10 flights of stairs for him.
The space between us starts getting closer and closer until our lips connect. We kiss until we're both out of breath and smile.
"Tay, I have to tell you something."
"Yeah? What is it?"
"I'm falling for you. And I know you're with Matt but there's something about you that makes me fall in love with you. And if you don't feel the same way, I'm totally fine with feeling that constant pain forever." He rambles on and on.
"You won't be feeling that constant pain, Haysie."
"Wait, what?"
"I like you Hayes. Being with you today has made me feel what I have never felt. Thank you, Hayes. I- I um, I l-love y-you, and not the best friend kind."
A wide grim appears on his face as I say the last part. "I love you too, Taylor."
