And The Fun Starts now

        So here we are one month later and the nabiors really havent alked to us since that one day whicih I was fine with that. As we get closer to the end of oct the wife from next store asked if we wanted to go over for a bon fire and a movie which for some reason we agreed to go. After we got their alot of people showed up and gave us nothen but dirty looks cuz here we are pritty much a gay couple in the middle of the bible belt in red neck countery. Ya you could say we felt out of place. So we sat and watched the movie in silance while the nabor and her friends talked. When the movie ended we went home while they all left to go and do something with their friends and familey. After they left we decided it was time to go to bed seeing I started work the next day.  The next day I got ready for work and said good bye and gave a kiss vefore I went to work. As I got to work and walked in to my new job the boss gave me a name tag with my dead name on it. (Im sorry but I hvae a name I prefure more then this name if thats ok) I asked them. the boss loked at me and asked what it was and when I told (AMY) she said I couldnt have it seeing I have to go by my paper work that is on file so yes that pissed me off but I wasnt goignt o make a scean about it cuz it was my frist day.

  After 2 days of videos I started to work the closing shift cuz thats when they need the most help. While I was working one day a coworker came over to me when I was doing dishes (So are you a girl or a boy. But plz dont take it the wrong way) she says I just look at her with a confussed look on my face. (Sorry its just we saw you dressed as a girl when you got hired and was filling out the paper work but then we see your name tag has a guys name I'm sorry if this is to forward) she quickly says and starts to walk away. (Ya I dont go by this name I havent in three years but the boss wont let me have my name I go by. But I am not like everyone else here) I quickle say before she can walk away. ( Oh you talk lol for a min I thought you didnt hear me) she says while laughing. I couldnt help but laugh alone with her. (So what name do you go bye and how are you diffrent from everyone) she asks. I can tell shes being soncer and I can tell she wont do or say anything to hurt me. (My name is Amy and I'm transgender) I tell her as I look down. (Will Amy is a nice name and I have heard of people like you but never thought I would be working with one but im glad cuz you seam nice) she says as she gets closer to help wash dishes seeing its a slow night. We talk the rest of the night and I give her my back story and surpsinly she leastens to me and says shes happy that im not letting anyone stop me anymore.

  For the next few weeks we talk and get closer to each other and she helps me tell the other coworkers and to my suprise they all accept me will all but the store manager. Affter 2 more weeks of talking with the other co workers a part time manager comes in to do her weekly count and after hearing about me she saw my name tag (I'm sorry but that tag has to go its going to confuse me if I keep looking at it) she says. So I take it off and toss it towards the offace and asked if that was better she just aughed and said no one has ever done that before but she like it. after about 5 min of talking to gose in to the office to do her paper work. As she gets ready to leave she says good bye to everyone and as she comes to me she hand me my tag back and said i have to wear it so I dont get in trouble which I understood. So I grab the tag and go to put it on when I notice she changed the name on it for me to the name I go by ( if the gm has anything to say about it tell her I did it so we stop geting confussed ok lol) she says before leaving. I quickly thank her and get back to work

   After acouple more weks of working i see the gm agine and she see my name tag and asks me where I got it from and when me and other co workers told here where and why she gave up on the fight thinking that if she did she would get into trouble for discrimnation and that she didnt want on her head.
