Chapter 18: Preparations

Shawn's been so helpful around the house while I'm working. He cleans, cooks, does the laundry and everything you can think of. He's really amazing and I'm so lucky to have him around. Without him the house was so empty but now it's always cheerful around when he's here.

I feel bad though. He feels so sorry for the way he treated me and tries to make up for the past by helping with what ever he can. I really appreciate it but I already forgave him. The moment I saw him on that bench..

Today I'm thinking about telling him about my feelings. I'm really scared though. I mean I did tell him once and it ended up really bad. I don't want to lose him again.

I have no idea how I'm going to tell him but since tomorrow is Valentine's day I think it's the perfect time. I'm gonna be classy and just get him chocolate and flowers. I really hope that everything will go as planned because I don't want the past to repeat itself once again.

After I finished at my office I went to the closest shop and bought the most expensive chocolate I could find. I want only the best for my Shawny.

Next on my list are flowers. I drove for like five minutes until I arrived at my favourite flower store where one of my clients' mother works. I helped her daughter a while ago and she'll be glad to help me with choosing the perfect bouquet.

I entered the store after locking my car and the smell of flowers hit me the moment I stepped into the building. ''Hello, Grace.'' - I said smiling. ''Oh my god. Hi, Mr. Dallas.'' - she said coming to hug me. ''Call me, Cam.'' - I said hugging her back.

''Okay, Cam. How can I help you?'' - she asked and I looked around. ''I need the perfect bouquet for someone very special to me.'' - I said and her face lit up. ''You've come to the right place, sweetie.'' - she said and smiled. She looked around and went to get some flowers.

She took a lot of different flowers and then made the most beautiful bouquet I had ever seen. ''Here you go.'' - she said handing it to me. ''Thank you, Grace.'' - I said. ''You're welcome.''

When I left the store I thought about what else I should get him. I got chocolate and bouquet but I want to get him something special. Like matching bracelets or necklaces. After thinking about it I drove to another store for jellewry. It was so hard to choose because there were so many kind of bracelets and necklaces.

It took me a while but I finally chose two necklaces with C and S on them. It's the perfect gift. Where ever we are we'll have something that will remind us of each other. Something to hold on to.

I really hope that he will accept it. While driving home I realised something very important.

I didn't get him a rose..
