Chapter 7. "Remember To Forget"

Peter's POV:

"Dad?" I called out to him from my bedroom. Teddy was with me, so there's no way something bad would happen to me or to dad.

Holding onto the stuffed bear tighter, I had the courage to call him once again.

"Dad?"

Heavy footsteps approached to my room. But it was going to be okay.

Mother taught me to me brave.

She also told me that Teddy would protect over me when she couldn't.

Mother was always there...

..but I never understood what she meant by that.

Until-

-I saw her.

Her beautiful body rested in Father's arms. He had tears rolling down and I could only watch.

"Dad! What's wrong?"

"Shut up you annoying thing!" He screamed at me and pushed me hard enough to make me fall on the floor.

Dad never dared to touch me. Or even scream at me.

He was always good.

I started to sob with my stuffed bear in my arms.

Crying is okay.

Especially for a seven year old like me.

Who wouldn't cry?

My Father had this face that sent shivers down my spine.

He looked scary.

Terrifying.

"Daddy *hic* p-please. T-tell me *hic* what's wrong?" I managed to say while cupping my face.

Darn it! I just couldn't stop crying!

"Can't you see?! Those assholes took your Mother's life away!" He said that last part with more anger.

She loved him.

And he loved her.

"Mommy? She's in Heaven?" I stood up and smiled. "Then it's okay Daddy!" I said happily. Trying to cheer him up.

But I got different results from it.

He glared at me and tossed a piece of wood to my forehead.

"B-but Dad! She's not dead! She's just visitin-"

"Just SHUT UP ALREADY.
