We started to walk out of the building to head to our car. Then I got a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach. Great something bad's going to happen.
"Niall, I have that bad feeling again." I told him. He looked at me with concerned blue orbs, and then they hardened.
"Okay, all I need to do is keep you safe." He said and pulled me into the protection of his muscular arms. I smiled and we continued walking down the street. Then Niall stopped at the beginning of an alley. I started to wonder why he stopped here. Then it hit me.
"Niall, are you crazy!?! We are not going through that alley!" I half yelled, half whispered
"But it's a short cut to the car!" Niall whined.
"Niall, something bad will eventually happen as we're walking in that alley." I said concerned.
"I mean I want to get to the car fast. But what if I fall? What if...... a hobo tries to kidnap and kill me? What if that hunter finds us? We're screwed if he catches us there." I said starting to get anxious. Niall turned around and looked at me. His eyes turned a hue of blue so dark; it looked as if it was black.
"Stop stressing yourself. Hell, you're making me stress with the worst what ifs. You could've said ' What if we find a secret door to rainbow land! Or, ' What if we get free candy for the rest of our lives!' "He said running a hand through his hair.
"I know Niall but-" I started but he cut me off.
"No buts. Now that you got me worried of the possibilities, we have to take the long way." He sighed then said,
"But as long as it keeps you safe, I'll do it. And I'll stop being lazy." He said with a smile pulling me into one of his best hugs.
"I love you Kristian. I'll do anything to protect you from harm's way. I don't want to lose you." He mumbled in my hair. I hugged him back.
"I love you too Niall. But you have to remember; when you love something sometimes you have to let it go." I said sadly letting go. Knowing we will eventually be separated by time and death kills me. Tears escaped from my eyes thinking about it. Then I felt a strong vibe coming from the alley. As if something wants me to go there.
"Déjà vu." Niall simply said with a worried look on his face. Then his face went completely blank.
"Niall?" I said moving back a little bit trying to see his face clearly. I waved my hand in his face.
"Niall. Are you ok?" I asked. Then something hard hit me in the back of my head. I fell to the ground stunned. I tried to call for Niall, but I couldn't find my voice. Soon everything went pitch black.
Niall's P.O.V
"I love you Kristian. I'll do anything to protect you from harm's way. I don't want to lose you." I mumbled into her hair.
"I love you too Niall. But you have to remember; when you love something sometimes you have to let it go."
"Déjà vu." I simply said. Why does it feel like I've been in this moment before? I started to get worried about what she might be thinking. And why this felt so familiar. Then I remembered.
It was back in 1955. I was living in Cheshire, England at the moment. I met Harry, Louis, Liam, and Zayn the first day I moved in. They were all in a coven. I don't really remember what it was called, but I remember joining. Mere months later I met a young woman named Angelica. We soon became close friends. Then one day, when I had the guts to, I asked her out on a date. Of course she said yes. 2 years later I proposed to her and she said yes. Two weeks before the wedding I decided to take her out one a picnic. I had the lads set up the stuff for me at the meadow. As we were walking to the meadow, we decided to take a short-cut through an alley way. As we were walking down I heard footsteps behind us. I turned to look but saw nothing.
"Stay close to me" I told Angel grabbing her waist.
"Why? What's wrong?" She asked
"No time to explain just listen. Please for your sake!" I said while stopping to look at her.
"OK, anything for you my love." She said kissing my cheek. We started walking when out of nowhere something very forceful pushed me into the brick wall.
"NIALL!! NO, GET AWAY FROM ME!" Angel screamed. I immediately got up and used my vampire speed to get to her. Once I got to her I knew it was too late. Right before my eyes was one member of my coven feeding on her blood. My brain snapped into action and I felt adrenaline running through my veins. I pulled him off her and held him against the wall.
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE FEEDING OFF MY GIRL?" I screamed at him choking him. He smirked at me then spat in my face.
"That does it!" I simply told him before I broke his neck and set him on fire. No one can know of our existence. I reasoned to myself. Then I kneeled down beside angle with tears in my eyes.
"Please don't leave me. Please I love you." I said with tears now flowing out my eyes. Then she said.
"I love you too Niall. But you have to remember; when you love something sometimes you have to let it go. If I don't make it move on and find a new love. But don't forget all we had. I love you from here,"
"To the moon, I know, but I don't want to live a life without you. You're my everything. The sun to my light. The water to my sea. Please, at least try to stay alive." I told angle holding her close to me. Then she said her last words in my arms.
"I'll try my best, but you might have to let me go...."
I heard her heart beat cease to a stop, that's when I knew she was gone and it was over. I screamed and cried for what felt like an eternity. Stay strong, move on, but don't forget. I heard her voice in my head. Two days, later me and the lads buried her under Angelica Horan 'Wonderful friend and partner.' Then we left our coven and England and disappeared for a while.
"Kristan I won-"I started but noticed she wasn't in front of me anymore. I sniffed the air for her scent, but it was faint. But there was another scent. I summoned my powers to see what happened while I was zoned out. Then I saw her waving her hand in front of my face tying to get my attention. Then I saw someone creeping up behind her. I clenched my fists knowing I can't stop him. She was about to turn around but he hit her in the back of her head with his gun. I watched her trying to speak but she couldn't find her voice. I felt torn watching her like that. Then the person looked at me dead in the eyes. He started to speak I immediately knew who it was. Marcus. It wasn't a hunter it was a feeder.
"I know you can see this, Niall. So let's make a deal. I'll give her back if you give me back my staff. You have 3 days Horan don't mess this up or things get ugly" He said pointing to Kristan. Then he picked her up and slung her over his shoulder, and ran.
I get my phone out of my pocket and call Harry.
"Emergency clan meeting in ten." I said then hung up not waiting for a reply. I ran to Steph's house to tell her. I can already tell she's going to kill me for this.
