1:00 pm, July 20.
It was where it all started.
Players, started getting stuck, into this virtual reality game. I, Xaiver, was one of the players. It was a popular game. Pretty simple too, beat the levels, and get a high level or rank. Or have the best guild. Duel other players. Just like most video games. Except something went wrong and us players, didn't know it would turn out like this.
August 13, 20xx
I sigh. "Not much of a level up" I think to myself.
I look over to the side of my menu and I see that my xp bar hasn't gone up that much.
Whatever.
I click on my teleportation button and teleport to the Ender Market. It takes about a second before I'm there and I hear there is a lot of commotion going on.
"Hey! Someone stole my gems!" A player shouts from afar. I squint to see what's going on. They're at the Ender Banking Shops nearby.
Everyone is yelling and screaming. Is there a thief? Maybe I should just grab my food and leave quickly . I usher pass the other angry players and head towards the Hunger Vend.
I grab my food and try to leave as quickly as I can, but it's too crowded. Before I can at least take a step forward, a two players swiftly runs past me and bumps into me. I stumble and hit the ground. The the two players keeps running and don't even look back to say sorry.
Alert! You just got 24 gems stolen!
Puzzled and flustered, I act quickly and run after the two players. I still see them but it's hard to run past the overcrowded players. "Hey Xaiver!" a player shouts from afar. No time for greetings, stay focused.
We exit out of the Hunger Vend and go back into the Ender Market. They're running faster than I thought they could, but I realize that I maybe can catch up to the short player that is tailing behind the other tall player. As I'm running, I analyze them. The slightly taller figure is a female. And the shorter figure is male, a young boy. I'm too far distanced between them to be able to see their status. A few players in the back are dancing and listening to music. Stop getting distracted! I say to myself.
The female and the male player leave out of the Ender market and into the Level Meadow. Where players are able to kill a few creatures to level up and upgrade your xp that are used to upgrade your stats.
Dammit! Catch up and try to not distract any boars.
I look around. The game looks so unrealistic but it's absolutely so beautiful. The sky is a light blue and the meadow is designed with bright green swaying grass followed by very beautiful virtual flowers. I hear angry virtual boars and players fighting. Boars cannot kill you, they only injure you slightly and are only used for levelling up purposes. I can feel the fresh air brush against me. It makes me feel cold in this wild goose chase.
A sound of shoes hitting the gravel path makes me snap out of it. A tall unknown player runs beside me. What the hell? I examine her quick. She has dark skin and cornrowed hair, with a very curvy body. She's beautiful.
Her player status comes up and on top of her head, it labels:
Jayda J. Level 23. Private Party player. No party info.
