Silver Marine Private Plane- 11:46pm - China
'Here I am.' I thought to myself as I pulled my luggage bag and suitcase to a small waiting bench outside the spacious, busy airport.
We were told to wait on any bench as taxies would come to drive us to our destination.I sat next to no one in particular and observed my surroundings.
The part where I was sitting wasn't exactly the most quiet, but is was enough to help me re-collect myself.
I felt myself choking back tears as I was far away from home, accused of crimes and sent to 'be taught' in some military base somewhere in China.
I was lost, confused and most of all, scared.
Why would my mother even agree to send me to this place? Why China? Why did they accuse me?
It wasn't only me they accused though, it was my entire class.
I found it hard to believe that a group of police men would just pick up and say that a group of 16 children, that's the amount of kids in my class, would burn down a library, killing its inhabitants. That's absurd!
I huffed to myself as I hugged and rubbed my frigid arms, looking at the street lights.
"Alright everybody, up and at it!" Our "instructor" Howard said as he pointed us to two mini buses parked at the side of the road.
I picked up my bags and headed towards the green bus which looked a bit more spaciousness than the yellow one behind it.
As I sat down I placed my small suitcase between my feet and held my carrier on my lap.
I kept my eyes fixed at the bustling airport scaled in front of me when suddenly I heard a gasp behind me.
"Thank god I found you!" A voice whisper yelled at me.
I turned to face one of the girls I normally spoke to when I went to class.
"Hey Ashley!" I said with a smile.
"Alli I thought you hid in a coffin for them not to bring you here." She joked as she playfully punched my arm.
"I would've but they took me as soon as they showed up." I played along
"No wonder your bag-" she was cut off my a loud engine roaring to life and the sound of Howard clearing his throat.
"Everyone listen up, if you wanna talk, whisper, no noise. The buses will take you to a site with two large tents pitched, when you get there, enter one tent in pairs and fill it, if there's no space left fill the other tent." He said as he looked at us from the rear view mirror.
"You'll sleep there and when you wake up, before eight, you'll be heading to your new home, got that?" Frank, the second instructor continued.
"These people must be joking if they think where we're going is home." Ashley whispered as she rolled her eyes and looked down.
"They'll not know what to expect when I enter the gates, I ain't following no rules, I won't even be there for the second day." I said with a mischievous smirk as Ashley looked up at me with a puzzled face.
"What do you mean by that." She asked a little anxiously.
"You'll see..you'll see very soon." I said as I rested my head on the carrier and closed my eyes to doze off.
Ashley braced back into the chair and looked the other way before falling asleep.
This was gonna be a long night.

"Kid! Hey kid! Wake up!" I heard a voice yell before I turned my face the other way and continued sleeping.
"A few more days.." I groggily whispered.
"Fine, stay on the bus then."
Just then I jolted up and sprinted out the bus as Howard was about to close the door.
He huffed and shut the door then walked off.
I looked around and saw people filing into the tents. I began walking to the tents.
"You seriously sleep that hard?" Ashley said as she joined me.
I scratched my neck feverishly and looked down walking into the tent.
"It's a habit, why didn't you wake me up?"
"I was! But then Howard saw it wasn't working so he tried too, I tried waking you up for half an hour!"
"Oh so that was the cat in my dreams." I teased as I set my bags down.
"Hey! I do not sound like a cat!" She scolded as she set her stuff down.
I nestled into the sleeping bag next to her as I faced Ashley.
I saw her set her bag down and enter the sleeping bag.
She looked at me and her smile faultered.
"I'm scared.." She whispered as I saw a tear escape her eye.
"We all are.." I said softly as I held her hand.
"What do you think will happen to us? How will they treat us? W-will we ever go home again..? She asked worriedly.
"I don't know..." I said sadly as I closed my eyes.
"We'll find out tomorrow.."
These were my last words before I yawned and fell into an uneasy sleep, dreaming about the events that will happen, in that cold military base.
Little did I know that I would meet someone very special to me there.
Someone very, very special.
