I flipped through the newspaper. "Yo sis?" My sister, Nicole, turned to look at me.
"What?" She said, slightly annoyed.
"I'm going to see if I can get a job, I'll be back later." I got up from my seat at the table and slipped on some shoes.
"Or not at all..." Nicole grumbled, knowing I was a late arriver.
I ignored her and walked out the door with my sports bag. I had filled it with minor supplies, such as a small took kit and a lockpic kit too. What can I say? I'm a small time thief and a little bit of a sneak.

I brushed my blonde, fluffy hair out of my face. "According to the address, it should be two blocks away." I mumbled to myself.
I soon came up on the pizzeria. Cars were driving away and people were walking out.
"Have a good evening. Come back tomorrow at 9 a.m." A voice came over the speaker.
It must have been closing hours, it was already getting dark. I ran up to the door and pushed it open.
I almost ran into a guy in a blue uniform.
"Sorry kid, the pizzeria is closed now." He said in a deep voice.
I frowned and stood on my toes, barley making eye level with his chest. "I'm actually here for a job, thank you very much." I read his name tag and it said 'Mike'.
He laughed at me. "Your kidding. Go along kid, just walk away."
I clenched my fist. "Excuse me, I'm an adult."
He smiled down at me. "You know kid, your kind of funny."
I shoved him out of the way with surprising strength. "I'm twenty three, thank you very much."
He backed up from the sudden force. "Hey kid, like I said. We. Are. Closed." Mike said sternly.
I just walked towards a hallway. "Where is the boss' office?"
Mike groaned and pointed down the hall. "First door on the left."
