Mud had woken up and stretched. Sunlight beamed in through the entrance. The white wolf quietly slept across the cave. She has to tell me her name eventually, he thought, trying to convince himself. She looked a lot brighter and in the open during the day. "I know you're awake." She barked, making him jump. "You looked asleep..." He said, half to himself. "We'll there's no point in acting awake." He stared at her. He half wished he kept moving. "I- I didn't catch your name last night..." He told her. "So you didn't." She got up and stretched out, yawning while doing so. "I'm Snowflake." She told him simply. "It... Suits you?" He barked. The name sounded pretty, but he didn't want to risk his ear getting nipped off if she got the wrong idea. "I- I will go hunt." Mud told her. She looked over at him, but at the same time she looked just past him. "I'll go, no use in waiting until you come back to hunt." She yawned. She stretched and shook her fur, before walking over to the entrance. She sniffed the air, and lifted an ear. She looked down a pathway that led deeper down the forest. "Don't go that way." She growled under her breath. "There are humans." Mud looked down it, but could hear or see any traces of humans. "I can hear them, and smell them, ugh, their stench smells like a recently put out fire." Mud was surprised, he never smelled them that far away. "How?" He asked her. "With disabilities, comes abilities. I'm blind, but in return, I got good smelling and hearing." Mud felt pity for her. He assumed she was born with it, because she still had both her eyes. "But don't underestimate me!" She snarled with sudden hostility. "I won't..." He barked, trying to sound respectful, but it came out sounding nervous. Snowflake turned and walked the opposite direction of the path, but kept her head down. I guess it wouldn't matter if you're blind in the first place... He thought. After wandering for a bit, Snowflake stopped dead. "There are elk near by, shh." She whispered. She crouched, her stomach almost hitting the ground. Mud did the same, but followed her until he saw elk. "I see some!" He whispered. "Well obviously."  Snowflake remarked bitterly. Mud stared at the elk, and crept into some ferns. He stopped, and all was still. A bird chirp ruined the silence, and he continued creeping. He leaped onto one elk, landing on its back. The elk shook around, and Mud almost lost his grip, but gained it back. The elk fell under his weight, and he clumsily fell when the elk fell. Mud quickly stood back up and bit the elk's neck, killing it. "Well you caught one, but chased the rest away." Snowflake growled. Mud felt the urge to say something bitter in return, but didn't. She was letting him use her shelter for a bit, the least he could do was show a bit more respect. "Well so you want some?" He replied, still a little bit a sourness in his tone. "I can catch my own." Can she not just accept help? Mud asked himself, still angry. "Alright." He responded casually. "I'll be here if you change your mind."

Snowflake glared at him, and ran after the elk herd. Mud bit down on the elk. If she changes her mind, fine. She just better have a good attitude...
