"He's here,"
Gold thought to herself as she flew to Pyrrhia. She was one of the dragons born on Dragon Paradise, a huge mountain on a lush island, where the dragons found habitable searching for a place where all the tribes could live in harmony, and be free. "I knew this day would come, and I know I'm the only one who can stop him." She sped up, her Skywing wings dragging her through the sky. It was a long flight but she was ready and wasn't planning on stopping at all. She had a mission and nothing was going to stop her. After what seemed like forever, she finally saw the wing of Pyrrhia which means Queen Ruby's palace should be somewhere coming up. She pondered if she should stop by, hoping they would only see her Skywing side, not her Nightwing or the little part of her that's SandWing. After a few minutes she thought she looked SkyWing enough to at least stay for a day, and who knows maybe they do accept travellers. She didn't really know since she obviously has never been to Pyrrhia. She seen maps and directions of how to get there, and read all the scrolls in the library, she learned about the tribes and their Queens, and that's all she knows. As she lands in what she thinks to be a plaza, dragons everywhere talking and going this way and that, everyone stops and stares at her, then one shrieks and flies straight to the Palace. "Great, their probably going to warn Ruby that a hybrid showed up" she thought, although she could barely hear herself think with all these dragons minds going crazy at her existence. Then a dragonet bumped into her, gold turned to look at them and immediately a dragon picks him up and brings him to "safety". She realized it was probably his mom and left it alone. She turned back the way she was facing to be greeted by Queen Ruby approaching her. She landed in front of her. Gold bowed, and to her surprise Ruby bowed back. "She must know I'm royalty, maybe like the SeaWings I have some sort of indication" she wondered to herself. "Come with me," she said and beckoned Gold to follow her. She took off towards her palace, Gold purposely trailing behind. Queens usually didn't like dragons flying next to them, at least Queen Metal from dragon paradise didn't. They arrived in the palace and Queen Ruby led Gold
to a meeting room where she sat down and motioned to the other chairs. Gold sat down and Ruby began to talk. "You must be from Dragon Paradise," she said, Gold nodded. "I see they don't mind hybrids," she stated almost bitterly, which made gold flinch. She got a little frustrated but stayed calm and said "There are only hybrids living there, since only one dragon of each tribe went." Gold replied keeping eye contact. "Interesting, maybe they didn't think it through?" Ruby said and Gold could tell she definitely didn't like hybrids. Gold had enough and calmly but seriously said "Maybe it wasn't planned, but we have shared our abilities with one another. Now, at least one dragon from each tribe can breathe underwater and speak aquatic, dragons are now immune to the heat and cold, dragons are faster because of their SkyWing Wings, at least one of every dragon has a poisonous SandWing tail, and SeaWings can actually breathe fire, spit acid, or have ice breath. I don't know about you but I'd say it's proven to be good, whether it was planned or not," she finished bitterly staring directly at the Queen. Ruby looked furious, she was never treated like this before by a guest. "You come in here unannounced, I kindly take you to my palace, and this is how you treat me? I am a Queen! This is not how I am supposed to be treated. Go! Be gone and never come back! Unless you want to be put in jail or killed!" She roared. Gold nodded and flew away, she had to get to the old night kingdom anyway. "Better do this now, I have to protect myself" she said as she flew "make me immune to any magic Darkstalker will do or has already done, and if he tries to protect himself from me it won't work" She was thankful for her powers, she got them from her NightWing side, Darkstalkers sister was her ancestor, she may as well call her at this point, which made her related to him. She didn't care though, he was evil and she knew from her visions. They only seemed to happen when absolutely necessary. Which frustrated her, since she sees her brother FutureSight, controlling his powers subconsciously. She didn't let it get to her though. Enchanting herself reminded her of when she first used her magic so she didn't have to use items to enchant herself or anything. It was the second enchantment she did, after the one where she enchanted her amulet to protect her soul and get rid of her firescales. Yep, she's an animus, she has future visions (sometimes), she can read minds, she's tiny and had firescales. She saw it as a curse but others said she was special. She arrived at the old NightWing Kingdom. There were a lot more dragons then she thought there would be, as she soared over to where she heard Darkstalkers mind, clear as day. When she landed in what she guessed to be the old palace. When she entered she immediately saw him, Darkstalker was giant. Gold on the other hand, was the smallest fully grown dragon to ever soar the skies. Hatching very early she shouldn't have even made it, but she did and she was here in front of the one she had to defeat. Come to think of it, she did remember hearing from her family that she was almost rushing to hatch. Maybe it was because she couldn't wait to conquer Darkstalker. Maybe she knew it was her job all along. Darkstalker noticed her, and his eyes immediately widened. "Goldentail," he said and ran over, "We finally meet! Aww your even cuter than in my visions!" He exclaimed patting her on the head with one claw. "Stop trying to trick me, I know you're evil!" She growled, looking him straight into the eyes. He seemed taking aback from her comment. "Oh, come on. You don't actually believe those stories do you? Besides, don't you trust your family?" He asked a hint of sadness in his eyes. "How can I trust them when they all hate me?" Gold shouted, her voice quivering. "How could they possible hate you? What did you do to deserve it?" He said, and Gold swore he actually felt sorry for her. "Amulet, hurt him if he touches you, break through any spell he has put on himself" Gold finished then took off her Amulet. Her Golden scales melted away reverting to her scales to the fire infused red they turned as she got older. Smoke surrounded her, the ground beneath her scorching under her intense heat. "This is why they hate me, and even though I fixed them, they still refuse to love me." Gold said, putting her amulet back on. Her scales turn back to the beautiful Gold they once were, and went back protecting her soul. "I see they don't treat firescales as nice anymore," Darkstalker replied "Wait, what did you say?!" Gold said shocked. "In my time they were treated almost like royalty. From what I heard, they used them as chefs, and guards, practically anything really," he finished, Gold was still so shocked. "Something really bad must've happened, because they hate us now, they usually kill us before we even hatch," Gold stated, then she realized what she was doing and shook her head. "Stop trying to get to me!" She growled. "I'm not trying to. If you stay though, I'll give you all the love you could ever want. You can live in the palace, and be the princess you were born to be. Just don't come kill me for the throne, okay?" He laughed, looked Gold in the eyes and said. "What do you say?" He looked hopeful, this was what gold wanted. She would finally be loved by her family and be a princess instead of being the next Queen (she wasn't related to Metal, but since she was royalty she was still allowed to challenge her or any other Queen). Everyone was always pressuring her to challenge her, but she didn't want to, she couldn't think of herself sitting on the throne, answering questions and making new rules if she wanted to. It just wasn't her thing. No, she couldn't give in he was evil she saw it. Then again he vision might have been incorrect, there's a lot of possibilities, she learned that from her friend. "I did protect myself, if he did try to do something to me it wouldn't work. This is all I've ever wanted and he said he'll give it to me. I have to try," she accepted his offer, Darkstalker seemed pleased. Then another dragon walked in. "Moon! Your back!" Said Darkstalker happily. While he was talking, Gold looked at all the paintings around the room. When they were done Darkstalker started walking down the hall, beckoning her to follow. Gold followed and he stood in front of a room and opened the door. "You can have this room if you'd like, feel free to do whatever you want with it," Darkstalker walked out of the room. The room was fairly large, with a big bed and a closet for formal attire. The room was heavily beaten with time, so gold used her magic to restore it and while she was at it the whole Kingdom. Darstalker came back into the room. "Did you just use your magic to restore the kingdom?" He asked looking around the room. "Yeah, sorry did you not want me to?" She asked hopping on her bed and laying on it. "No, it's fine with was going to see how everything looked before I did the same, it's probably for the better though. Now the NightWings can find their homes," he said he walked out of the room again, going where ever he was going. Gold used her magic to make her room more personal to her self then drifted off to sleep.
