GRACE POV

"Great. breakfast at GJ's again." The same old eggs and cheese. Well i have to make the best of things."

Hey Kate! Whats up? "Nothing really what about you?" Wow when she asked me that question I thought of a bunch of things that could explain "whats up." But i told her nothing much anyway.

Brrrrrrrrrrrringg!!!! Kate what class do you have now? " I have p.e. right now." Oh ok meet me at lunch i got some good news to tell you!

As I walked into the class I saw a new kid. Slightly tall, but I know hes taller than me. Hazel eyes, long dark brown hair, and he wore a Nike shirt saying "just do it". Guessing hes athletic.

I sit at my seat, wondering where the new kid would sit. Mrs. Wagner introduces him and sits him down in the seat ahead of me.

I say "hi my names Grace."

he doesnt respond. Maybe he didnt hear me I guess. I say it louder but still no response.

Maybe hes just a little shy. He finally turns around and says "hi my names Jack nice to meet you Grace". I didnt understand why he didnt respond the first time. But heres when it got interesting. "Im sorry i didnt answer you the first two times, i was busy thinking." Well at least i know the guys a psyhco path now. Brriinnggggggg!

Finally. theres the bell! I see him walk out of the class. He must have 4th period lunch. I see Kate down the hall, and I tell her about Jack. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME??" What? what? whats wrong? Kate you scared me for a moment there!

"Was it Jack Lewis?" Kate exclaims. I didnt ask for a last name, but Mrs. Wagner said "meet Jack L." When he was introduced. "OMG! Jack Lewis talked to you?!" "How was it like? Is he hot? Did you say anything about me? The questions went on and on until we got into the lunch room. Thats when i let my anger go. Kate! Shut-up! Jack Lewis is just like a regular person geez!

And I knew I shouldnt have shouted that out loud, because Jack looked at me straight in the eye. But for some reason I think I saw a smile come out of his mouth. And I think I knew that me and Jack were going to be friends.
