Chapter 3: Confusious

I woke up in alarm. It was another message from Kate.

Kate: Hey where we're you?

Oh shit, I forgot to drop her off.

Me: Sorry I couldn't find you. The beer really kicked in you didn't it?

Kate: Yeah.

Me: I'll be at your house in 5. Get ready!

Kate: Kk.

I hopped out of bed. I felt a little bit nauseous but it's probably because of all the loud music that was playing. I got in the shower, not bothering with my hair since I straightened it yesterday right after the party. I got another text. It was probably Kate again.

Jack: Hey gorgeous.

Omg. did Jack literally say that?

Me: Hi. You goin to school today?

Jack: Yea, see you there ;)

I literally jumped out of my skin. But I couldn't stop thinking. What does this mean? Does Jack actually like me or is he trying to tease me. I didn't know what to do. But there's no time to waste. I got ready and head out the door. I texted Kate.

Me: Almost there.

Kate: K I'll be outside.

Me: Alrighty.

I parked my way into her driveway. She got in the passenger seat.

"What the hell took you so long? You know we're going to be late!" Kate complained.

"I was distracted, that's all." I had a smirk on my face.

"Wait a sec, I know that smile. WHO DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON?" Kate asked.

I showed her my phone with me and Jack's conversation.

"YOU LIKE JACK??? Grace Williams likes Bad Boy Jack?" Kate exclaimed.

"What do you mean Bad Boy?" I responded with curiosity.

"He was named the bad boy in his old school." she choked out.

I frowned. "He was nice."

Was he just trying to aim for his first target? I don't want to believe it but who else should I believe? I guess it wasnt love after all. I glared directly at the main entrance. I peered about, finding teens on the stairs, drumming on the trees that were planted on each side of the school's entrance, and others were studying or lying down on the ground looking above. I felt a tug on my shirt's sleeve. I turned around. It was the popular group. Michelle and her boyfriend Derek were in from of Janice, Lily, Kayleen, Josh, and Jack. Michelle spotted Kate and I.

"Gracie! So glad to see you today!" Michelle air hugged me.

"Hi Michy. Good to see you too!" I said with sarcasm but I tried to make it not obvious.

"I missed you at the party last night. Where were you?" she asked.

"Oh I uhh....I was there but um I was feeling a little bit dizzy. Now if you excuse me, I need to get to class. Let's go Kate." I escaped from Jack's sight, exhaling with delight.

I cant believe "last night" happened. I remeber staring into Jacks nice blue eyes.

Grace! Jack exclaimed. Today they are going to have a basktball game. You want to come with me? Its at 7:00pm. If you're interested. Give me a call ok? And right on the spot he kissed my nose. I felt this burning sensation inside my body. Its felt like everything in my mind was in slow motion. I kept replaying the moment in my head; but I couldnt stop thinking about this one question. Do I like Jack?
