Chapter 2

I stepped off of the edge of the rooftop and began to fall, but I was stopped by someone grabbing me. "Let me go!" I yelled. "Stop struggling" said the man. I don't know this man, or why he had saved me.

I woke up the following day, I hurt from some pain, from running so much. However, I woke up with a bandage around my arm and down to my hand. I looked around as I saw my jacket was taken off. I grabbed it and put it back on.

"Your up I see" said a voice. I looked in a doorway to see a man. "How did I get here?" I asked. "Easy, I brought you here" he said. "Wait... are you-" I was cut off "Yes, I'm the one who saved you last night" he said. "Why?" I asked.

"Come on, Contractor to Contractor, I saved your ass" he said. "I don't want to be a Contractor..." I mumbled under my breath. "Born Contractor" he said. I nodded. "Who are you really?" he asked.

"Why do you need to know?" I asked. "Because" he said. I stood up and walked to the door opening it. However, whoever this guy was he put his hand on it making sure I couldn't open it. "What do you want?" I asked.

"Your help" he said. "With what" I stated. "You're the Dark Reaper" he said. "What does that have to do with anything?" I asked. "You are just as strong and as powerful as I am, my boss takes interest in that. That is why I saved you the other night. My boss wants you to work with us." He said.
