Five - deeper than that
-
I sling my satchel over my shoulder as park my car in my usual spot, trying not to spill my coffee as I pull my keys out of the ignition, the car settling.
I slip out the door, slamming the car door shut behind me as I rush my way onto campus, walking up a few flights of stair, my coffee sloshing around in the Starbucks cup as I skip up the stairs.
My tired legs carry me the rest of the way to class as I rush inside, only to find maybe about five other people and none other than Louis Tomlinson, his bum planted down in my seat, a familiar sheet of paper in his hands.
"What are you doing?" I ask, irritation present in my voice. I'm not Morning person by any means.
"Oh," Louis says, tearing his eyes from the paper. "Good morning sunshine." His cheeky demeanor has returned to normal and I'm not sure if that's a good Thing, or a bad thing.
"Up." I demand, waving my arm for Louis to get of my seat.
"Not just yet, love." He smiles, my patience running thinner by the second.
"Hurry up, Tomlinson." I huff, crossing my arms over my chest.
"I have a first name, you know." He reminds me and I shoot him a glare in response. He takes that as a cue to get started with whatever he needed to inform me of. "I see clouds." He says, look and the crease filled paper. "Angry, rumbling storm clouds."
"Wait, so you mean to tell me you actually looked at the paper," I say, my lips parted slightly in shock. "You're kidding, right?"
"Nope," he smiles triumphantly. "This was all the work of a brilliant mind."
I stifle back a scoff. "Having a brilliant mind takes work, Tomlinson." I put emphasis on his last name just for the sake of wanting to bother him.
"And you think I didn't work hard?" He gapes. "It took me like five minuets to find those storm clouds." He whines.
"That's good, now it's time to find something even deeper than that." I tell him, already knowing he will resent the idea.
"You can't be serious." His eyes widen, like he's shocked I could request such a thing.
"This is a serious art project, after all." I repeat his words of yesterday, wearing a scheming smile. He won't like I'm using his own words against him, and after the exit the made yesterday, I'd love nothing more than to pierce that thick wall of pride.
"Of course," and for a second, I see his pride falter, but he recovers quickly. "And I think you may have forgotten my payment."
"Oh dear," I plaster fake concern on my features. "It seems you actually took me seriously when I said I'd pay you, oh dear." I really had no intentions of paying him. He's in the worlds biggest Boyband for gods sakes. He makes more a month than I do in a year.
He sends a scowl my way as he finally removes himself from my chair, taking a seat in his own a few rows back.
I take a seat, slinging my bag over the back of the chair and setting my coffee on my desk. I take a few minuets to brainstorm, like I usually do in the morning when I arrive at school. I was a master at getting lost in a sea of thoughts, just pondering what I may be able to turn them into. But still, working on the world most arrogant band member seems to be trumping all current and past ideas.
It takes baby steps, but if I just keep this up, maybe I can get to the deep side of Louis Tomlinson. He's intriguing really, no matter how he gets on my nerves. I find myself drawn to him because he's different. They always called me crazy, and I can't argue anymore.
I mean, I'm crazy enough to take on the challenge of cracking Louis Tomlinson. Because over the years I learned many things. One of those things being; no matter how bad someone may seem, there's always a bit of good buried somewhere in there.
And that's what I was going to do.
I was going to keep digging until I found the good in Louis Tomlinson.
