"You are all to write an essay over what you would do if you had 3 wishes. It is due in one week."
My whole freshman class groans at our spring break assignment. Why do we have homework over our so called break? Mrs. Newbuckle, my English teacher, hates me. I really think she's out to get us! Us meaning my small group of unpopular friends.
"Do you know what your wishes will be?"
Oh my god why is Joshua Anderson talking to me? He's the hottest and most popular guy in school! Be cool, just breathe. Come on Miranda, speak!
"Uhh yea, I guess I'll do the usual 3 more wishes." Why did I just say that? I know what I should wish for..wait, do I?
"No, come on Miranda you have to wish for something!" He gives me butterflies. The way his big brown eyes shine in this light.
Can I wish for you?
"Oh..well I'll think of something. What are you wishing for, Joshua?" Not that he needs anything, he's already perfect.
"I don't know, fame and fortune? Well, ha just the first one." Right, he's filthy rich. His dad invented the DVR, gotta hate commercials.
"Oh uh that's a good wish!" I wish he wished for me. Yeah right.
"Totally, well I'll see you around. Bye, Miranda." I love it when he says my name. His voice is smooth and addicting.
"Yeah, cool that's sounds great! I'll see you around..soon! Uh peace!" Peace? What is wrong with me? Why can't I be normal and popular? Maybe that's what I should wish for.
