Sympathy and Malice

I throw the girl a pair of jeans and a top. "Get up, get dressed." I stand there. When she doesn't move, I raise a brow.

"Why are you still standing there? Is decency not one of your traits?" She stares up at me lazily from the cot in the cell.

"I have provided you clothes, and even bandaged the injury I caused. Besides," I look at her with disinterest. "You're only putting clothes on." I look at my watch. "You have fifteen minutes."

I walk into the kitchen and notice Violet in the lounge room, staring dazedly at the blood stained black marble. "What happened yesterday?"

Her eyes stay glazed as she turns to me. "He said he was looking for a girl in need of release. I knew exactly who he meant, so I tried to distract him for a little while, cause I knew you would be up in a little while anyway." A tear slides down her cheek. "But then he started to touch me, so I knocked over the vase, knowing you would react the way you did. You know the rest."

I walk over to her and give her a hug, letting her cry on my shoulder. "If you need to talk..." I say. She nods. "You'll be okay? I need you today."

She steps back and looks up at me. "Yeah."

"Had breakfast yet?" I ask. Her violet and black hair sways as she shakes her head. "Bacon and eggs?" She nods. There's a crash and a moan. I react immediately.

Charging into the cell room, I see that 'Nightingale' has somehow managed to to twist around on the bed and fell whilst in a hand stand, hitting the ground with a thud.

"And what were you trying to accomplish?"

She glares up at me. "I was practicing something."

"Well, I see that you're dressed." I call out to Violet and tall her to grab the 'irons'. I step back as she brings them in, and I open the cell door. I walk in and grab the girl's fore arms, holding the bronzed limbs out in front of her. Violet came over and shackled her. She screamed.
