In a little corner
He finds his home
Lurking in her subliminal
Poignant in her mind
Manifesting himself in dreams
He reminds her of his presence
Seemingly permanently etched in her brain
He leaves colourful reminders worth forgetting
Disappearing from reality
But refusing to let himself be forgotten
Jumping from limb to limb
He hangs from the trees
Invading thoughts
And ruining memories
Laughing and grinning at her
Gloating that he’s unforgettable
Vivid images
And splashes of him
Paint bright her imagination
His hands depicting the pictures
He dances and sings
Twirls and skips
Relaxes and puts his feet up
But has no intention of exiting
Now he walks, leaving footprints
As his fingertips make contact
He distorts every image
And leaving behind his signature
Despite her pushing
He just can’t take a hint
Or maybe he knows
And smiles at her misery
He revels in the fact
She can’t uproot him
She tries so hard
And he smirks at her attempts
He shakes his head
Reflecting on the ease
Liking his destination
Unaffected by her resolution
