A:N: Listen to Enchanted by Taylor Swift and A little too much from Natasha Bedingfield :-P thanks!
Sofia never forgets the first time she locked eyes with Hunter. Her clear brown eyes were met by his puppy ones; feeling trapped with odd sensations fleeting about. There was confusion, spark, but from all the others, the one that stood out from all was the keen interest in figuring out who was he.
She met him in her freshman year. In her first period, biology, to be exact. She can remember so precisely that day as if it was yesterday. She remembers when in that day he entered late with a slip of a tiny note, looking rather lost yet at the same time with an unknown confidence radiating off of him.
His black pants were higher than his torso and his crisp white polo was tucked in under his pants on his bony, and languid frame. He was awkwardly tall, therefore, it was pretty hard not to notice him. What she liked the most was the vibe vibrating off of him, letting her know just how different he truly was. And if his awesome biker-black boots were any indication to his awesomeness, then she didn't know what.
His name was Hunter Pleasure. His last name was one of those things he possessed which made her curious. Pleasure? Really?
They didn't talk much though. Her going to this high school was like being forced into hell since the school she wished to go was full and her previous friends were all there. Before she knew it though there were friendly people there and she made acquaintances.
After a couple of months passed in school, she met a guy that was also a senior who was so closed off and preserved with no communication skills whatsoever, yet his mysteriousness caged her in and sparked some curiosity. That senior liked her a lot in which she did also in return, and after another couple of months, they were in a relationship. His name was Daniel; she truly liked him a lot, and he was her first boyfriend. He was sweet, caring, compassionate, funny at times and overall, someone she cared for. The problem was that they had a lot of quarrels.
Hunter and Sofia also had many fights that shattered her heart too many times to count. There were many times he made her cry and made her feel like murdering him. Yet somehow, some unknown rope made them stay together, apologizing with stubbornness after a week or so. Being away from each other though was somehow unbearable. And with each passing day, the may-be chemistry between her and Daniel kept dissipating.
Once Junior year came, everything changed... Sofia was still with Daniel but very unhappy. He was away going soon to college and she found herself making any excuse to be upset at him. Hunter knew her sadden state. He was always there doing any silly thing to make her laugh or smile, he hugged her and supported her all the way through.
Besides all that, little did he know that at tenth grade she had a silly crush on her best friend Hunter. On eleventh grade, odd feelings crept out of nowhere. It made her dizzy, guilty, horrible, happy with the blues and confusion was etched, growing more a day. Hunter remained oblivious to it all, but little did she know that he shared the same feelings for her...
Daniel noticed the change in her and demanded her to stop the friendship with Hunter at once. Daniel said:
'It's him or me. Your choice.'
She was perplexed as to how he made her choose. But she knew without a cloud of a doubt her answer.
She refused to choose, but she admitted to him adamantly that if she had to choose, it was Hunter. It only infuriated him more. But her refusing him wasn't for the fact that she expressed feelings toward her best friend, it was because her crazy, annoying, loving best friend was her best friend and no way in hell would she give it all away because of Daniel.
