(A/N This is my first time putting a story on Wattpad so I'm sorry if it’s not fantastic. I've written a few novels but never gotten them looked at. I’m the only one that’s read them. So I hope you like my story! <3)
Nervous as hell. That’s all I'm feeling right now. I shut and locked the door to my room, even though I was the only one in the house. I always do that before I sing. I never sing in front of anyone, not even my own family, so what I'm about to do is pretty drastic. I warmed up my voice with a few exercises and made sure my backing music was working. No turning back now I thought to myself. I stood in front of the small webcam and booted up my computer. I opened the internet and logged onto YouTube. I quickly turned on my webcam before I chickened out. My stomach heaved and I felt dizzy for a moment. I ran over what I was going to say in my head before I pressed the record button on my computer and saw the little light that meant I was recording begin to glow.
"Hey guys!" I said, trying super hard not to sound nervous. "Today I'm going to be singing the song 'Moments' by One Direction for you guys. I dedicate my whole performance to One Direction. I love you guys!" this is it I thought, time to let the world hear your voice. I pressed play on my CD player and began singing. Shut the door, turn the light off, I wanna be with you, I wanna feel your love..............before you leave me today. I pressed stop on the CD as the song finished and said my goodbyes to the camera. I pressed the record button again to stop the webcam and saw the little light go off. I took a deep breath and set out to my next task, uploading it on YouTube.
I felt a small glow of satisfaction as I saw the little loading bar on YouTube begin to move as my video was uploaded. A few minutes later I saw I already had 50 views. Wow! That was quick. I also had a few comments. 'Wow! You are AMAZING! Or should I say AmaZAYN! Haha! :)' I smiled and moved onto the next comment. 'You have a beautiful singing voice! You could make quite a career out of that love! <3 :) xx' I had thought about it but gave up on the idea because my stage fright was too bad. I could never sing on a stage. I scrolled down to the next comment and realised all the comments were the same. Just compliments on my singing. I thought I was good but I didn’t know I was that good!
I went to bed that night feeling elated. I was good. I was good and I had the courage to show others! AND they agreed! I curled into my bedcovers and slowly drifted into jumbled, meaningless, happy dreams.
(A/N So what did you think? I know its short but I’m still figuring this shiz out. I know you know nothing about the main character yet but just wait and see. I will try to upload every night!
