I last saw my sister shuffling her feet on top of a cliff that evening. The moon and stars radiated our path of sight as the waves below rumbled as they crashed.
"Adam," she let out a light chuckle. Her lipstick was ruined and her dress was covered in dirt ripped at the bottom.
She removed her sandals as I caught up behind her. I planted my feet stable onto the rocks.
"I'll miss you, okay?"
I could only choke out a nod. The wind pulled back her hair as she walked closer into the sea. The water battled for the first bite. But her steps continued walking closer to the end.
"Thanks for everything."The water swallowed her whole.
Only there lay an abandoned pair of sandals.
