The Dress

As I put on my robe she pulled out a wall of dresses. I pull a few that I really like so I can try them on. I take forever trying to pick a dress but once I finally pick one a knocking comes on the door. "Who is it?" I yell.

"Me," says a man's voice as the door opens. In walks the blonde man that is my now soulmate. "I have a present," he says holding up a dress bag with a smile.

I smile back and take the back hanging it on the rack in the room and open it. Inside is a beautiful white mermaid dress with red flowers covering the bodice all the way down to my knees where it flairs out with a small tool skirt. It has wide straps made of the flowers that melded with the bodice. I shooed Tom out of the room with a smile so I could put it on.

"I take it that you like it?" Tom says from just outside the door as I slip on the dress. Somehow it fit perfectly and just sat on the ground surrounding my feet.

"Yes, and you can come in now," I state as I sit on the couch with a shoe box. The door opens slowly almost like he was afraid. I shifted on the couch curiously to look at him. I try to hide my snicker as I watch him.

"What?" he says.

"You need some help with that?" I ask and letting out my laugh that I had been hiding. Tom was so nervous that he got his foot stuck in the corner or the door and got the right sleeve of his jacket stuck on the lever-like handle and couldn't get himself out.

"I'm good just finish getting ready, I can get out," he states proudly with confidence.

I snicker at him and stand up walking over to him. "You have to start letting me help from now on," I say looking up into his eyes since I was still pretty short compared to him without heels. I sneakily slide his sleeve off the door handle with ease and opening the door a little more. "Now you can move your foot," I say with a smile walking away to put my shoes on. He stands there blushing in awe as I lean down to put my red strappy heels on in size 9.
