12th january 1993
It was dark in the cold january. It was raining heavily. Everything inside the hospital was silent and peaceful. Several families were going to have their babies tonight but there were two a bit special cases.
Dawn harris was waiting outside his wife lea harris' room. He was really worried as well as exited to bring that new life into his life.he was really exited thinking about if it is going to be a girl or a boy?like her mom or like him? He couldn't wait to see the baby.
Just beside that room lied the room in which another family was going to have a baby. They were Malik's. Yaser Malik came out from his room with a worried look on his face. He walked and sat on a bit broken wooden bench kept right in front the room.
Dawn looked down with his hands on his head. Something was wrong. Yaser Malik looked towards him and said "hey."
Dawn looked up gave a smile and said "Hi.." Everything stayed silent. No one talked for a while. Dawn decided to start the conversation "your having a baby?"
"Yeah! You too?" Yaser said with a warm look on his face
"Yes. By the way i'm dawn, dawn harris." He said with a light smile
Dawn stood up. Going towards yaser, handing out his hand towards him.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Harris, I'm Malik, Yaser Malik."
They both shacked hands and
"Nice to meet you too Malik."
They both smiled.
Then suddenly a nurse came out of dawn harris' wives room and said "you can meet her if you want to." Giving him a polite smile.
Dawn stood up and said a 'goodbye' to Malik.
And headed inside the room. Looking all over that place and then seeing lia. She was laying there on a bed peacefully.
Dawn harris' P.O.V
I went inside the room. It was a large room with those thousands of ornaments.
Lia was lying on her bed. I went towards her gave her a smile and kissed her forehead softly. She smiled back.
I sat there on a small stool that was just kept near her bed. We didn't say anything to each other. We were just sitting. I shot her a head 'hi' politely she did the same. After a minute or two.
"Listen babe-" she took my hand and held it with both her hands giving me a smile.
"Something wrong, babe?" i interrupted, putting my other hand out of my coats pocket and placing it on her hand.
"Um..i just wanted to say, if something happens to me and you have to choose between the baby. chose the baby." She said.
"Shh babe, don't say that. Everything will go fine." I looked in her eyes.
"But-" i cut her off
"Hush, don't say that. I said that everything will go fine." Lia didn't say anything after that. Everything was silent until a nurse came inside the room, requesting me to go out of the room.
We shot each other a smile. Me giving her a small kiss on her cheek and i went out.
End of dawn harris' P.O.V
Dawn went and sat waiting. He looked very tensed. Everything around him was revolving. He couldn't focus on anything. He was thinking about what her wife said. He couldn't stop the tears which were streaming down his face. He was really worried. If something happened. At a moment he wanted to stop thinking but he couldn't. If something wrong happens.
That night two things happened that night one good which brought happiness in his life but one bad which made that the the darkest day of his life.
Yes lia died she couldn't survive anymore. Dawn harris was really shaken because of her death for a first few weeks of her death but then he realized that he had to take care of the new life which just entered this world. She just had him. He decided to give her all the love a father and a mother could give her daughter. He wanted to protect her. He wanted to give her the best possible life. He didn't wanted her to feel the absence of her mother. He wanted to keep her happy. Away from sadness and cruelness from this world.
He kept her name summer lily. Summer made his life better and happy. Summer made him feel that he was not alone he had someone. Summer gave him a new life a new way of thinking about life.
Because of being a very well brought up child with all the love and care summer was a very nice girl. Pretty naughty, loving and innocent.
From that day they also starting meeting malik's and became very good friends with their family. They had a boy that night. They decided to keep his name zain. Zain javadd Malik.
Summer and zain became best friends and they went to the same school and spent all their days together. They love each others company.
They had family dinners every weekend. Dawn and yaser became pretty good friends.
Everything was going alright.
Until...that was the darkest day of harris' life. Everything turned upside down. Leaving everything. Everything turned bad. Leaving her with nothing. Why did this happen to her? Maybe for a reason. Yeah everything has a reason behind it but this time it only brought sadness.
12th january 1998, the day summer turned 6. The day Everything changed.
